How can you tell your options?

I recently bought a 2007 cls 63 amg. The owner said the car had all the options on it. (p1,p2, p30,etc) My question is how can you tell what options you have on your car. Especially the p30! Thanks in advance!!!

I you have the VIN number, a five-minute trip to the dealership will have them pull up the list of options that were on the car when it was purchased off of a Mercedes lot brand-new. Strangely, they can't print this out for you but can let you look on their screen. I did it when I bought my 2005 SL500 a few years back.

You can tell by other things in the car too.

(assuming they aren't trying really hard to fool you.)

The P030 package comes with an alcantera sterring wheel as well. (tough to check the limiter or if there is a locking rear diff though.) Also the wheels that come stadard with the pkg on the '07 and '08 are the 2 piece wheels with open spokes.)

if it's an '07 or '08 i believe the P2 package has the xenon lights. the P1 does does not. for '09 i think they just put it all in te P1 package.

Keyless go is part of one of the packages as well as the heated and ventillated seats.

Parking sensors are pretty obvious. and distronic you will see a wheel or something to adjust the sensor. I can't remember if te front star is solid on the CLS if it has distronic or not.

Also you'll know if you have the voice system if you have a stalk on the right side of the steering wheel. Very few of the '07's are prewired for the VCS (unlike the 55's that were almost all prewired.)

Think that is about it for options....

The following attachment concerning the dealer option order info may be helpful.

An easy way to tell if you have the P2 option, is to see if the headlites have a small blue colored bulb next to the main headlite in lieu of a clear color (non blue) bulb.

The Bluetooth puck can be plugged in yourself. There should be a spot to plug it in inside the center console. I had mine up and running in 30 seconds.

yep, and i would try to buy one used. Unless they have come down they are like $500 from the dealer. lots of them out there these days.

Also, there are two model numbers of the puck out there. Once doesn't load your phonebook from an iphone (if you care) i think. If you get the older style one (silver and black one) and use an iphone it's the one ending in 878 that works if i remember correctly.
