Anyone installed a parking assist system in their car?
Anyone have any recommendations on 3rd party parking assist systems that they have installed in their car? Don't need anything as fancy as the OEM system, but a reliable system that checks the rear of the car and can be installed easily would be sufficient.
Any pointers/hints are appreciated. Thanks

On the other hand, a 4 sensor rear only parking assist system can be installed for $450.
So unless anyone has better information, I guess I'm going to go for the cheaper of the two solutions.
$1200 is not a bad price for camera, and about right for bumper sensors too. Camera is better than sensors. You have a nice car, don't put junk in it.

@cartronics - do you have recommendations for a good brand for a parking assist system (I see that you are in the business)?
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
If you go the assist route, you need NO LESS than five per bumper to get reasonable coverage. Just because dealers use a shop, does not mean it's good. They are really only interested in margin and kickbacks most if the time. Ask them about radius around each sensor, distance, etc. Also min 2 year warranty.
It didn't have PARKTRONIC, and the visibility is pretty poor so I had one added, including a backup camera.
Here are the pics. The installer did a great job (thanks Mr.Benzo for the help and the pics)
