My 20x11's stick out past the edge of my 295 tire and I am getting some road chips. Does anyone else have this issue with the edge of the wheel getting chipped?

Whether you do, or don't, please post your wheels and tire sizes+brands.

292x25 is a good size for 20x11, not as good as 305x25 but what you describe would occur either way.

Where do you live, is their much debris on the road? Salt to diminish the ice? Are there rocks galore? I dont have this issue fyi and 10mm difference in the tire width isnt your cause.

There must be a ton a debris where you are - my 20x10.5 HREs aren't chipped at all in Denver (lots of salt / sand).

There is no debris where I live that I can see! Never had this issue before. It is very strange.

What kind of wheels are they? Might be less-than-solid powdercoating?

I use 305's in the rear, no problems when I bought my hre's. I was told by them that the 295's would not be wide enough.

More than likely theres a lot of debri on the roads where you live or its a certain place your driving on. From my experiences on the wheels me, and my friend both had 20 x11 vossen wheels on each of are c63s. But since he had different tires his rims sticked a little more out of his tires then mine. We both were running 295's

I've had wheels that stick out farther than the tires, and I haven't had this problem. I'm guessing painted wheels.
