Sneaky ECU trick

I was exploring around the forums and I found a thread that appears to apply to all 63s. https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/...set-works.html

Really good stuff. From what I read it resets the benz learned driving habbits and resets the ECU to the harshest baseline driving settings. I guess the E63 guys are hooked. Don't know how I've never heard of this before. They mention results on the CLS on page 18. Give it a try! Post your results!

No such thing. You do the "reset ". Then drive it hard. Yup it will learn your new driving. It will do it anyway if you drive it hard once. Thinkbofbot like short term memory.

take your car to the stealership and ask them, rather pay them to reset your adaptations. i think you will notice a difference from that.

Try disconnecting the negative battery terminal overnight. Man, I really would like to know the minimum disconnection time needed.

Yeah, tried it. No luck. Maybe I did it wrong. Or maybe I couldn't push it because sister was in the car with me. I'll try again. But as of now. No go.

The new 5.5TT engine has two batteries. So those who are thinking of disconnecting the negative terminal will need to locate both batteries.

Lol, that's the battery I jump started it from :/ (My stupid self left the lights on)

The battery in the back is where the spare wheel is... Guess you didn't know this?

I don't know where the other one is.

Geez. Okay well i guess there goes all of my credibility. I'm doing this all off memory as I've been out on work for 4 months now. Anyway - one battery.

Thanks for the responses and the pic. Gosh, it looks like a bigger and more robust battery in the pic. I guess I forgot I'm in the CLS section. However, I thought the battery placement for all 6.2 engines are the same. My W212 only has a battery in the front. However, I would love to have another battery in the trunk since that car is an electric hog. That space next to the spare is just a void in my W212.

I pretty much have the exact same thing in my trunk, cloth, manual book, and some detailer... and tissues...
