LOMO vs Renntech vs KW Kits/Lowering module

Hey Mbworld, its been a while..new toy 2012 Cls 63 amg kleeman tuned 690 hp on 20 inch CEC concave lite wheels. Tires are toyo proxes 4 all seasons ultra high performance ...came with rims.

Ive had car for 2 months.. Ive destroyed 3 bikes and most anything in my way..car is a beast, however

I need to lower it though as handling on this car for my style of driving is unacceptable. did some research here and these are my observations:

1. LOmo M1 - Price about $1600(uninstalled)
Pros- claimed most advanced due to ease of use/control via
steering wheel buttons
Fully adjustable
Safe? retains factory suspension functions
no power draining at night, on /off easy, no lap top
cons - price, warranty issue if found by dealer?

2. Renntech - Price about $1040 ish
Pros- price $600 dollars less
renntech name
fully adjustable
SAfe? retains factory suspension functions
cons - lap top to change settings, ? power drainage at night
warranty issue if found by dealer ?

3. Kw Coilover kit - Price about $1000
Pros - price
Kw name/reputation
fully adjustable via remote control
Safe? retains factory suspension functions
no power drainage at night?
cons - uses remote instead of stearing wheel buttons,
warranty issue if found by dealer?

4. Manual links - cheapest option but not an option for me.

So which kit/system to go with ? please chime in as Im not an expert in this area , need your help.

fyi I live in Tampa, Florida and need to do this in that area.

The equivalent Renntech solution is their V3 which is $1395.

Are you sure that the LOMO works with the W218 (2012-13) model? The W218 and W219 are totally different suspensions.

How is any of those kits remotely adjustable in the front? We dont have air suspension in the front on the C218's.

these modules appear to be for all airmatic/abc suspensions... I run the KW on my CLS and ran it on the E Wagon too...

Exactly my point. That is why I think that they only work on a W219 and not the current W218.

Lomo M1 and the Renntech V3 will not definitely work on your W218. They are for the AIRMATIC suspension.

I believe your only option is the KW coilover kit...I have no idea on how that one works since I have a W219 and I believe that application is specific to the W218

" fully adjustable via remote control"

Planning to order the KW kit any day now and this is the first I've heard of this. Is this just confusion with the W219 kit as well?

Yeah its all noise... I have already put 2 kw kits on my cars with springs up front, there is no remote control.

Thanks Vic! Anyone you'd recommend in Mission Viejo / Laguna Niguel area to install?

I dont really know too many shops down that way. I use Benzworks in Huntington Beach for all my servicing and installs.
