Can't close my trunk after disconnecting battery .....

I want to store my car for a few months and when I disconnected the battery the trunk lid will not close. It has the motorized close feature. Do I have to leave it open? I put some pressure on it and it seemed I was fighting the motor? Thanks.

No just hold down the button for 5-10sec. should sync it up OR manually close it and open it through inside the car and close it from the car also.

I'm trying to manually close it after I disconnect the battery. It seems to be held open by the motor.

LOL I can man up, but it sure sounds like it's being held by the motor? I thought it would revert back to the springs? I think I'll get a glass of wine and think on ti for a while LOL Thanks

Tried again and it closed without straining the motor mechanism. Thanks.

Now test your manual trunk key opener, as many times they don`t work and it can be hard to get the trunk back open. I have had my battery die before and trunk wont open.
