R1 Concepts 2-Piece Rotors?

Hey guys, we're thinking about designing our own 2-piece rotors to fit on these AMG cars but not sure just yet..My question to you all is are you willing to purchase 2 piece rotors if we were to design these for the CLS55 and CLS63 AMG? Please let me know! It would be best if everyone could reply back with a yes, thumbs up, or like each person does a count down from 1-?? if you know what I mean. Hope to see what you guy think!

Obviously those of us with the P030 package have the two piece rotors.. Besides factory and RacingBrake making these we really don't have an option. If you made an affordable replaceable ring alone I think a ton of people would be excited. Having tracked a Nissan GTR with 2 piece rotors I was shocked to see that CLS rotor options were almost double the price of the GTR's aftermarket racing options. Put a price out there and I am sure you will get a lot of interest..

Especially if you make them for less that $800 for a pair of fronts.

Also Drilled are nice however they don't last as long. I am MUCH more interested in just slotted. No drilled for me.

I am with supraman, depends on price.
If I can't save good chunk over OEM I will go OEM. Right now I can get OEM cheaper than RacingBrake.

I had a set of your rotors on my 2010 Charger RT Supercharged and loved them. I would buy if you make and sell for a reasonable price. I purchased all four rotors for my Charger for about $450, four years ago.

P030 options are few. Build one a little better, and a bit cheaper, just like any business venture.
Considering the price for oem there should be room for profit.
Every one of us will need them at some point. These cars are getting to that age. Mine are original so...

PS Build them to fit factory hats so everything is interchangeable, and we can replace discs after track day.

Great idea, but keep the costs down. No one is going to pay $1000 for a pair of rotors.

Thanks for all your replies. If you haven't noticed, we only sell 1 piece rotors and are thinking about selling 2 piece rotors pretty soon which is why I wanted to ask you all. The only information I know is that these 2 piece rotors will have aluminum hats, not steel. We don't know what the price will be yet but it will be competitive pricing.

We don't know the weight and everything else as well since we are still in the early stages of making these rotors. We have chosen to use the CLS55 & CLS63 AMG because it's compatible with some of the other AMG cars such as the C63, E63 and so on..One I get more information about these rotors, I will let you all know.

The factory hats are aluminum.

At least on a p030 cls55, I've never actually seen a 63.

Are they cheaper if you make them one piece and not just the rings? I expect the rings to be much cheaper?
