CLS55 Limited Slip Differential LSD Options

I'm wondering anyone knows of any options for a LSD for the 2006 CLS55 AMG? I tried several tuning web-sites, but all offer only for the E55 and CLS63, not the CLS55.
Tried using the search, and nothing came up here as an aftermarket option (for cars without the 030 performance package).

I contacted Wavetrac, and their response is: "Thank you for your inquiry but our notes show the ’06 CLS55 as using a larger differential than our 48.309.185WK (215 axle) unit. We don’t have any planned production to make this unit as it is low demand."
So Wavetrac doesn't offer.

I was under the impression the mechanical moving bits (engine, transmission, axle, most suspension) are identical to the E55 of the same years, but apparently the CLS55 uses a larger diff?

Thanks for any help.

I have the wavetrac in my cls55 right now. Its the ssme as e55 one..Experienced diff shop can fit the unit, they shave a little off the housing to get it in. I had the deslership drop the diff unit out then took it to the diff shop to get it fitted.

Thank you, and thanks for the part numbers!
I'll go with a Wavetrac unit then, and hope my local shop can make it fit.

If they good with diffs im sure they can. On the e55 forums someone posted this. https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/638784-wavetrac-lsd-setup.html it says for preload you either need different c clips (diff specialist shops will have heaps lying around of differemt sizes they can use) or to shave down factory ones..as i said one shop can drop out the housing then it can be easily transported (lifted by 1 person but it kinda heavy) to a specialist for the swapping out of diffs. Took 2hrs for specialists to swap out the diff and like 12 to drop out the diff housing and reinstall to car. Good time to replace handbrake shoes, rear brake and rotors if required or nearly required.

Thanks a lot for sharing this information with us, did you had to recode or TCU flash due to change of diff ratio because some people say a error and lip mode will appear if you dont do a TCU flash or recode

No TCU changes required for the wavetrac unit. Don't recall the Quaiffe one needing either.

actually if you change the pinion gear you will need to tune tcu. This is effectively changing the ratio. But when you swap diff they usually take the pinion gear off the old one and attach it to the new one. If you wanna change ratios you'd have to source an appropriate pinion gear.
