And performed some arts & crafts on the soon to be installed upgrade intercooler. I applied the AMG logo on it using heat resistant paint.
Cutting out the stencil
Degreased, masked & ready to go!
Work in progress
End result: The "A" (bottom left) and the "G" could have been a little better, but neverthless happy with the result

I just put them on the original pillars. Gave it a good clean and just stuck them on This makes a bigger difference than you might imagine.
I ordered them on Aliexpress, you can probably find them a little bit cheaper if you search a little harder: https://aliexpress.com/item/1005003422075672.html

And as the weather slowly becomes better in the Netherlands, I was able to cruise with the windows open and simply enjoy these sweet sweet exhaust notes

Went to Belgium on saturday to pick up some 20" wheels. Unfortunately, the trip wasnt trouble free. My brakes failed when I was almost at my destination. Fortunately, I was cruising at normal highway speeds and there wasnt much traffic, so I was able to stop safely and restart the engine. I decided to go on and drove back with low speed and much distance between other cars. I made it safely home and will be going to the dealer asap to get it diagnosed and fixed. Hopefully it will be covered under the extended warranty, but we will have to wait and see...
Over to some good news I was able to buy a set of Japan Racing SL-01 in staggered setup (9j / 10j) in matte black.
The big 20" 10j wheel in the trunk
I needed to order other wheel bolts, as the normal bolts dont fit.
Difference between the 20" Japan Racing SL-01 and the 19" Mercedes CLS AMG wheel. I expect the brakes to be better visible (as they should be)!
The complete set, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S in 255/30/20 and 285/30/20. All tyres have about 6mm left
I will have to wait for the new bolts to arrive before I can fit them, so the waiting game begins...Using the app Suspension Master, I was able to create a mockup. I'm confident they will look great

I like to weigh the wheels I put on my car, so here we go
Japan Racing SL-01 20x9j / Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 255/30/20 weighing in at 21.80kg
Japan Racing SL-01 20x10j / Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 285/30/20 weighing in at 23.80kg
Happy with the result!

My new wheel bolts arrived, so I was able to testfit the 20" Japan Racing SL01!
I was hoping for a nice look, but this totally blew me away. I dont think I have been this happy with another set of wheels
New bolts with my trusty DeWalt. I bought some extended bolts for when I needed spacers (I didnt need them )
They fit perfectly...
Dirty caliper...
Ok, last one...(for now!)

Had the opportunity to drive a little bit with a Volkswagen Passat B6 Variant R36 with the naturally aspirated 3.6L FSI engine. Great car, great sound! But off course, it doesnt beat the exhaust note of a proper V8

Weighed the original CLS wheels and was kinda shocked to see the big weight difference...
Mercedes CLS OE AMG 19x8.5j / Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 255/35/19 > 25,64kg
Mercedes CLS OE AMG 19x9.5j / Kumho Ecsta PS91 285/30/19 > 28,46kg
Japan Racing SL-01 20x9j / Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 255/30/20 > 21,80kg
Japan Racing SL-01 20x10j / Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 285/30/20 > 23,80kg
Calculating....
Front axle: (25,64 - 21,80) x 2 = 7,68
Rear axle: (28,46 - 23,80) x 2 = 9,32
7,68 + 9,32 = 17kg less unsprung weight!
Now I cannot wait to see my next 100-200 measurement....

Just sat 2 hours at the dealer for a diagnose for the SBC system. When I picked up the Japan Racing wheels, the brake assist was totally gone. They diagnosed it today and requested warranty at Mercedes and it was granted! The SBC replacement will be fixed under warranty as soon as possible. Happy days

@Noosik Yes I received the error before somewhere last year (2x) but didnt give it much thought. When scanning it also points to the brake light switch, which I replaced with OE Mercedes new one. And then it happened on the highway. Fortunately, I wasn't driving hard and there wasn't much traffic. But it could've ended bad...

Mileage is about 195k km's (121k miles) right now, built in 2005.

Good news, SBC pump will be replaced under warranty! I have to wait about 2 weeks and then it will be solved and then I can do my first 100-200 run on the new lightweight 20 inch wheels

Been following your thread for a while as I recently aquired my own CLS 55, always informative to see what others do as preventive maintenance on these cars as age is doing its part.
I notice you have the OEM badges in the fenders, is it possible for you to measure the hight from the bottom of the fender to the bottom of the letters and from the fender to the first letter on both fenders? I just ordered OEM badges to put my car as the previous owner removed them

I also noticed that thread, thanks for sharing!
@tonyHEMMINGSEN Welcome! I made this thread so others might also be inspired/helped with whatever I do. For me this is also proof/documentation for whatever is done to the car.
In the NL at least, a lot of people value the maintenance booklet being filled in by the MB dealer highly, but for me that does not paint a complete picture. I'd rather buy a car from someone who can show me a lot of invoices of relevant maintenance/repairs, instead of the maintenance booklet with some stamps which says nothing to me.

It’s the same here in Norway, people just want the stamps in the booklet and for the most part don’t care about invoices for parts or labour done outside of the regular service. I’d rather buy a car with the proper documentation backing that the previous owner(s) took care of things!

Amen @tonyHEMMINGSEN !
Almost forgot these pictures
Resealed rocker cover drivers side (again...). It was leaking on the rubber gasket and on the oil filler neck. When I resealed it last time, I didnt replace the gasket from the oil filler neck, so maybe thats why...I decided to leave it off for now, as the oil cap also screws on directly on the rocker cover (just like the E500/CLS500). If it leaks again, no need to reseal the breather chamber then.
This time I bought the rubber gasket from MB, thanks to the tip of @UncleBenz55 haha. Should've listened to him the first time round
Looks a little less nice without the filler neck when the engine cover is on, but I'd rather have no leaks hehe
View from the bottom end
Zinc coated the breather chamber bolts (only the heads)
And also bought a O-ring kit with 491 pieces for about 14 euro, which is nice
