Scary Thing happend to C55 today!
I was driving on Masspike I90 highway
Using Manual mode...
all of a sudden, i feel a jerk on the car...
then when I tried to gas..the car didnt accelerate! but the engine rev'd as if i was in Neutral.
The engine wasnt giving power to the wheels!
after like 3 minutes..the care went back to normal!
what do u think happened

i wasnt in neutral for sure..becuase i tried to fix the problem by shifting INTO neutral! then shifting it back to drive...but it still happened!! man...!
i tried all ...Sport mode..Comfort mode...tiptronic...manaual mode....><
I went to class today (=D) ...and my professor is showing the class a graph of reliability of merceds benz...the graph was going DOWNHILL...pissed me off...
do you guys really think MB car's reliability going down???

No , take this up with your dealer , they should give you a good explanation. Something went really wrong if we are still talking about an AMG.
If they ever say it is normal, I think the CEO of Mercedes Benz should give you a brand new SL65 to apologise to you.

man...I tell you, US dealers are no ZUNG FU people...
my opinion...and this is only my opinion...
They really dont know much and dont really know how to fix cars.
They take much longer than the people at Zung Fu...thats why i am worried..

Did you guys ever get this resolved? I had the same problem in an 05 E55 this morning. I gave it 100% gas up to about 80 mph and coasted to 70 and discovered I was in neutral. Coasted to a stop, put it in park and then reverse and it was normal. Any help?

How do you go about checking that? I'll be under there soon installing some headers, so that'll be a convenient time to check.
How does a belt slipping cause tranny problems? I'm just asking cus I don't know.
