Wow, how do you get 500Hp from the C32 with the Kleemann mod? I mean, the V6 in the C32 is essentially the same as the C320 engine except for some internal upgrades. Even with the Kleemann SC installed on the C320, you can get only about 330hp, and the Kleemann SC is supposed to be more efficient than the AMG unit. Also, even the 4.3L V8 with the Kleemann SC can give out no more than 430hp.
So what does the Kleemann upgrade for the C32 consist of? Just curious.

Well, think of it this way, a C320 has a stock HP of 215, and with a Kleemann SC, it has 330. That is a 115 hp increase.
The C32 has 349hp stock, so add 115 to that and you will be at around 474, and then there are some other things for an extra 25 or so.

But what can Kleemann do on top of the AMG supercharger to give it an additional 100hp+? I mean 100hp+ is a lot. That is the kind of power increase you get by superchargering an N/A engine. The C32 is already supecharged, so the potential to obtain significantly more power is limited. Maybe you can upgrade the ECU or change pulleys or something but that is probably good for an extra 50hp at the most. The AMG SC has already added more power to the C320 than the Kleemann SC can potentially add (not considering internal engine mods).

There is a lot that can be done with the C32. Wait and see
Besides raising boost, a more efficient intercooler can be used. These together would easily make a significant gain. We have much more in the pipeline, and will post as they come to market.
Thanks
Ben

Heh heh. 500 horsepower. Heh heh.
I want it!
I bet it's expensive!
When I first received my C32 I thought to myself "finally I own a car with enough horsepower. More HP would be unusable".
I've gotten used it now, and WANT MORE!
It is a drug!

It's not, infact the price of the C32 SC upgrade is under 15 grand.Originally posted by ro0zy

Hey Accord, your statement does not comprehend! The C32 is not a normally aspirated engine with 349HP. The AMG charger is removed and the Kleemann is installed not added.

There is 'NO Way' Kleemann can get 500HP from a 3.2 engine!Originally posted by Accord

Ok, there seems to be a lot of confusion here. To my understanding, an upgrade will not involve removing the AMG SC and replacing it with a Kleemann SC. There are however, many aspects of the SC system that can and SHOULD be upgraded (i.e. intercooler). If you have read a few magazine articles on Kleemann in general, there are many comments made by the authors regarding how the AMG intercooler is no where close to the efficiency of the Kleemann intercooler. I would imagine that if they were to upgrade the intercooler, you would be looking at decent gains, but not 500hp. There are also other modifications that can be done, but let's just wait and see
Thanks

I was expecting something like this, and combining it with headers and cams. 500HP should be attainable this way
Hate to be the bearer of bad news & reason - I don't care what you do to the C32, ie. new supercharger, upgraded intercooler, ECU remap, new Cams, Headers, nitrous, etc. - there is no way to get 500 street legal emissions ready Horsepower from the 3.2 V6 engine. You will be lucky to get 380HP.

I can easily get 400hp for only $4000 from Renntech... new pulley and ecu.
If you think the C32 AMG cannot acheive 500hp, then you need to do some more research. With the Kleemann SC, new headers and cams, and mabye a few other small things, you can easily get 500hp.
There used to be a guy on this board with a 495hp C32 from Renntech, although I don't beleive he visits any forums anymore.
Acheiving 500hp with the 3.2L AMG V6 is easy, if you have the money to spend. And the difference in price in relevance of upgrading a 5.5L V8 to 500hp is minimal.
So you're saying after spending over 25k+ in mods with everything you listed, you can only acheive 380hp? That is absurd.

You are absolutely correct Ben. Your friend Vadim over there at Evosport has been doing a lot of work with the C32 correct? He had posted some information on how the C32 engine has about another 100hp left in it before a major engine rehaul would be needed to achieve more power.Originally posted by Mach430

All this sounds appealing, but I'm absolutely positive that I'll be getting suspension upgrades first. This car needs more handling prowess than it needs more power.

new pulley, a more efficiant intercooler, a chip. As well as making the car "breathe" better, will all go a long way to making more hp. I believe 500hp is VERY "do-able" with the C32. TheAMG block is already tougher that a regular C320 block and thus it can be safely pushed harder.

Yes, Vadim is doing a lot of R&D on the C32. He and I are competing to see how can get the most power Originally posted by JustinTRW

I definitely agree that the car needs suspension upgrades first. Speed is great, but if you can't handle the speed, it is futile.Out Of Control!!

I have to disagree. Just because a car is supercharged, does not mean that it is at full (reliable) capacity. The AMG intercooler is great for a paper weight, and that's about it. Changing the intercooler alone will probably top 380HP. Add a boost pulley, and you can easily top 400HP; legally. Street cams and headers will not push the car over CA emissions, but they would easily help provide more power. I think clost to 500HP is definitely attainable, but only time will tell.Originally posted by E55 KEV
