its supposed to be like that so you can edit your prior post. Anyways safest way is to wash the car. Check the detailing forum on proper car wash techniques.

Wash it again, if the spots are still there use a cleaner, then a polish, then a good wax.

Use clay and lube before trying anything harsh like cleaners and polish. You'll be surprised at how much better the paint looks after cleaning with clay.

BTW, if you clay and WAX often, you will almost never need to polish.

Like E55 said , use a clay bar and a lot of Meguiar's quick detailer or water/soap to lubricate the paint. make sure you remove this asap to prevent etching the paint.

Now always carry your Quick detailer and a microfibre cloth in your trunk, remove bird droppings asap, the acid in their **** will burn the paint.

you can also try vinegar on a soft cloth to try and remove the spots after you wash.

Isn't that like using acid to clean acid? I wouldn't want vinegar touching my paint.. can you confirm that this is safe? I'm too lazy to go on autopia

thx

Most environmental fallout on the paint leaves minerals behind when it dries. Most of these minerals are calcaceous and therefore alkaline. White vinegar and water will react with it and loosen it from the paint. Water spots are the best example of this process. Just like the white scum on a showhead.
