Sold my C32 and crossed back over to the dark side

Hey guys I finally sold my C32 for $30,500 was a lot harder selling the car then I expected. I didnt end up getting the E55 since i wanted a manual this time around. I got a 2003 M5 with 11k miles black on black I pick it up later this week. Im going to miss the forums over here but will still be checking back in once in a while.
wish the best for everyone thanks for all the help over the last year.

Nice car, kinda high price. I drove a friends black/red.black for a bit and it didnt feel as fast as I expected but you def could tell you were moving...has similar feel to a s2000 in that it doesnt feel as fast as you are going...of course not as extreme. I was coming out of my S4 with 380+ tq though.

Lets seee pics!

E55 AMG Black on Carlsson 1/6 EVO
Thinking about selling my car to get a 545 6 speed. Just don't know if it's worth trading in my car or selling it.

Both BMW and MB make nice and good cars. But the M5's price sounds high. E39 M5's price is less than 20% higher than C32 at where I am.

I sold my 2003 M5 last year (and I occasionally miss it). Definitely a fun, fast car (not as fast as E55 and maybe only a 0.1 quicker to 60-mph than my C55). Handles well but a bit big to toss around. Not as close to 50/50 weight distribution as the M3 due to the heavy V8. Some people did not like the recirculating ball steering but I though it was nice. Only things I did not like were: seats stiff and not as comfortable as my C55, shifter too tall for a sports sedan (IMO), and transmission really notchy shifting until it was completely warmed up (e.g. I needed to be totally stopped to get in 1st until a good 20-min of driving). Good thing is the '03 has the DVD-Nav and can take a BT retrofit fairly easily. It is also spec'd to take the (less expensive) 5W-30 BMW synthetic. Still there is an ongoing debate about whether CAFE standards were driving that because Euro-M5's (w/same engine) spec the (more expensive) 10W-60. Anyway, have fun with it.

Rgds,
Norm
