The C55 comes with Blue Tinted Glass. Is it possible to "Darken" the blue instead of using the typical tints that are very common out there? Most of the tints I've seen have that greyish-black hue @35%-50% around here in New Jersey.

Does anyone know whether there is such a thing as Blue tints?

thanks

I have seen tints in many different colors, so there has to be some blue out there somewhere. Good luck.

True "That" I have seen some darker tints, just ask your sales, the usually can recommend someone. If he or she is a good "Sales" you can usually get a discount on the tinting

from what I've heard, the blue factory tint is not actually tint film, but somethin inside the glass, kinda like blue glass...not the typical film that's on aftermarket tints...so it may be difficult to duplicate or improve upon w/o compromising the "quality look"...

The blue hue of the glass windows on our cars is not from a tint. The glass itself has helium-based elements I believe and give off that nice blue.

Blue tint is cool, but it's something that you need a lighter color for. Other wise it won't work nicely.

I also like the blue tint and didn't want to lose the color, but living in Phoenix, AZ I had to tint the windows to knock down some of the summer heat. I had my windows tinted with huper optik drei tint and after having it done I noticed the windows still give off the original blue tint but darker and more reflective. The tint itself is grayish but it is also not dark as in limo, I believe it is about 30 - 35%, which allows for the blue to come through. The nice thing about it though is that it blocks out some ridiculous amount of heat, something like 98%, without being dead black. Anyways, couldn't be more happy with it and the fact that my windows still show off the blue AMG glass look. Good luck

You see, tinting in Blue is very popular. I will ask my dealer if he know who can do that.

Uhh i think the previous posts just mentioned that there is no "blue tint", it's the actual glass that gives off the blue color, and that tinting that glass gives it a deeper blue.
