Mercedes Paint?
Is the Mercedes paint that thin? Every other car I have had has NEVER been this bad.
Will Mercedes even look at this as a problem?
I have only owned the car for a few months, It had a few ( rock chips ) when I purchased it but it looks like it has been hit with a sandblaster on the lower fascia. The hood looks almost as bad.
Any ideas, Or is it just my car?
Thanks
. In fact, I have a daily driven vehicle which sees daily 60 highway kilometers and have never seen on it so much chips as the weekend driven Benz. The problem is that those chips are increasing very rapidly. I want to spray the front bumper, however, I was told that the new non-OEM paint might not hold up!

I got hit by a relatively large piece of debris on 40mph highway once when I first got my car. Although it didn't make a dent, it made a huge chip on the car which required refinishing the hood...... A year later, the hood has chips all over it again.

I took it in one morning and came back afternoon next day. Both bumpers were off and were already prepped with primer paint. They filled in the deep scratches
and since I planned on an all black bumper (no chrome) it was easy for them to prep and paint (baked).
Picked up the car the following evening. Paint is all matched up and probably even better than the rest of the car. All for $375.00 plus 1 year free touch ups. Again, that's for both bumpers.
i've had quotes as much as $900.00.

The look: priceless
