Group Buy on Brembo Cross Drilled Rear Rotors for C32/C55

Well, as you know from the other thread Josh (DragonAMG) spoke with Kleemann and got in touch with Brembo to create a group buy on the C32/C55 rear cross drilled rotors. 5 sets are already being made, and 2 people have already paid. They should be ready in 3-4 weeks. Any more then 5 sets is fine, anything more then 5 sets will be ordered as long as its before the deadline. This does not last forever, Brembo is pretty much doing us a huge favor to make these, and if anyone is interested, we need to know by August 12th. That is the deadline. After that they are not accepting any more orders. Again, you can thank Brembo and Josh (DragonAMG) for getting this job done. The price is $275 for both rear cross drilled rotors. Shipping will be $20. These are OEM replacement rotors that fit the stock rear brakes. They are made by Brembo and are cross drilled from Brembo. Anyone who is interested, please post here or send your emails to Josh (DragonAMG) at ebaymail@aximgroup.com or you can send myself an email. If anyone is interested in purchasing, this will all be done threw paypal, you can send the final total of $295 which includes shipping to ebaymail@aximgroup.com These will only be sold to customers in the US in the lower 48 states ONLY.

Thanks

It's still going to look 10x better... even with the fugly stock caliper.

how long is the life of stock rotors? do they ever worn out? if I need to replace them sometime later, I would buy the drilled rotors now.

I don't know the life of the stock rotors, but they will wear out. It is a wear and tear item on your car. I suggest you buy the rotors and just keep them, when you need to install new ones, just slap the drilled ones on. It's not like you'll be able to get these everyday

I'm in and just sent the PayPal. Thanks Josh for moving on this. Should have been standard equipment on the car.

hmm.. i'm still reluctant about getting this rotors. Eventhough these rotors will dissipate heat in the rear i don't really think that rear rotors don't suffer much from heating problems. Considering the looks, it's just for the personal satisfication since you and the others only see them when the car is parked or stopped. I would be definitely in for this if they were for the front rotors that are not drilled. I might save this money for the CF front lip True that if I do this, our cars are almost identical except the wheels and /////AMG decal on front windshield I have the roof spoiler, ss pipe, green filter, AMG decal still sitting at home. I'm waiting to get them installed all together at once when I get my HREs. I'm supposed to get the wheels this coming wednesday. Can't wait.. I'll post pics when I get them all installed. Btw, what are you guys' reasons for getting these rotors? I can't really make my mind.

Does anyone know if the Brembos are lighter in weight than the stock rotors?

Also, not to look a "semi-gift horse" in the mouth, but why aren't the fronts being offered?

Because you can buy those from the MB dealer. If there is enough interest, if sure Brembo will make the fronts for us to... they might even already have them. Has anyone checked?
