Quote: Mine runs 12.40 @ 117mph, so if you pulled 2+ car lengths from a roll, you're probably trapping in the 120mph range at least.
WOW!!! I would definitely be happy with a 12.0 - 12.40 @ 120mph. Did you run it at sea level? What temp?

I'm thinking about taking it out this friday, but haven't decided. It's about 110 degrees out ---- don't really want to put up a bad time my first out.

Quote: I can't wait for this matchup!
Hell, I can't wait to just see the car. I am going to have to evo-ize my 32 just to stay bus lengths behind.

Hey Josh are we still on for this Friday? Do you have any extra hellmets? I would love to be a passenger for one ride and maybe record some in-car footage.

Maybe, just maybe I can break into the 13'. Dam heat + elevation
The cool thing about the C32's is that you can run more boost than I can because of the compression (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Aren't some guys putting up high 12's in their c32's? That's a very respectable time, IMO. Like I said, I'll be happy with low - mid 12's. I will probably crap my pants if I put down high 11's at anything over 120mph. THAT WOULD ROCK!!! If that happens, I'm going to have to buy Brandon and Cory @ KLEEMANNUSA a very nice OMFG gift for building me such a fast A$$ car.

Extra helmets??? LOL. I don't even have one for myself.

Josh:

First off, congratulations on the car!

We have done a number of Kleemann installs at our shop and I know how before and after feels.

Second,

Yes, you are correct, AMG motors are stronger inside and use 9:1 CR. My C32 with 23 psi and EVOIII power package ran mid12s, at mid 110s on a hot day. That was with 420HP at the wheels. You should be around 430-440HP, which should put you at low 12s at high 110s on a good day. Add street slicks and high 11s should be possible.

SEMA is coming in early November, weather will be in the 60s...............

ITS ON LIKE DONKEY KONG!

It appears like we are going to the speedway 2maro.

As for videos...I was hoping my girlfirend would get back from her vaction becuase her digital camera is a bit more capable of taking good viedo. My cannon S400 on the other hand takes only OK video (the dam thing can't zoom in video mode either) so I'll try my best. Pics at the least!

I'm gona shoot for 13.99 and have to remember to take the spare and golf clubs out of the trunk. The only item that will be in my car is a pair of underware for when I wet myself seeing the Kleemanator

Cool... my wife told me you called and I'll call you tomorrow.

BTW - I have that very same Cannon S400 LOL. I've also got a Sony HandyCam so I hope you have a steady hand. I'll bring it.

Are you bringing some friends? Hopefully we'll have some euro cars out there to represent in the sea of honda civics w/ exhaust cutting 16 + second passes. Our cars are going to look like monsters tomorrow.

I think I have a steady hand, time will tell. I tried to get a couple guys together. I have one buddy w/ a Porsche Turbo although he is out of town on business, go figure. I was able to convince my other friend with a Zo6 to come out and play. He has a little work done, Headers and exhast.

My buddy with the Porsche gave me one of his friends #'s to see if he wanted to run the 1/4. He didn't answer, I left a message. He drives a 2004 SL 600

Anyways call me tomorrow,
Oh and by the way, I would recomend getting there before 8:00. The last time I went they shut down Test n tune at around 9:20-9:30 to get ready for midnight Mayhem @ 10:00

Cool... Should we go to the midnight mayhem instead, so it's a bit cooler outside?

honestly, I refuese to go to another midnight mayhem event. I've been to it a couple of times, and the wait in between runs is way too long. One nice thing is that you don't need a helmet but that doesn't outway the fact that you have to wait an hour inbetween runs.

As for weather, yes, it might be in the high 70's but then again, it might be raining on us so...

UPDATE - 1/4 Time
For starters... I couldn't hook up for *****! I definitely need to practice launching. My best 60' was 2.026 - And I have LSD and Michelin PS2's - WTF

The conditions were as follows:

      My best run was:
      12.492 1/4 @ 116.80
      2.026 60'

      I made several passes putting up 12.4 - 12.7 at 114 - 116 mph. My 60' ranged from 2.026 - 2.204 LOL

Clearly if I could hookup and run this car when it's a decent temp outside, I could easily have this car in the mid - high 11's. My MPH is totally there to do it. And especially if it's cold outside, I can probaby even pull some 119 - 120 mph passes.

PROPS to my friends at KLEEMANN for building me such a GREAT CAR w/ absolutely no problems (knock on wood). Remember before the Kleemann conversion I was putting up 14.2's at 99 mph. Brandon and Cory at KleemannUSA ROCK!

There was a Kleemann Chipped CL 65 (v12 bi-turbo) that was running there with me and he was putting up 12.20's - 12.50's @ 114 - 115 with a 1.9' 60' ft. Cleary he is the better driver because my MPH was higher yet I put down higher et's.

Oh yea - there were 2 twin turbo porsches out there running in low 13's.

Anyways - I plan on going back mid-late october when it's around 60 degrees and clicking off some 11.80 - 11.90's... stay tuned!

BTW - Roseylv has video of him and I racing at the track from his car (c32 amg) when he clicked off a 13.9. Beg him to post it! :v

If you have slicks and even wider rears like 11 inches it would probably be a lot easier to launch. Who knows but with that stuff you could probably post low 11's. Anyway, come to LA lower elevation and temp so you'll post a even better time regardless.
