2005 C55
New to the forum, in the market for a C55...

Hey guys, just wanted to say that I've enjoyed catching up on the forum for the past few days. I just sold my '02 M3 and am seriously looking for a clean pre-owned C55 (with navigation, ever since my M I can't live without it anymore!) I've checked the classifieds on this forum, as well as autotrader and cars.com - any other places you think I should look?
Thanks very much - and I look foward to sharing C55 stories with all of you.

Good "Luck" with your search. There are some out there but either, for me they are the wrong color or lacking the options. Pre-owned is definately the way to go

Side "Note" Noka on this forum might be selling his car. I think that it only has 4.5K miles

$51-52K for a USED C55? Isn't that a little high considering I got mine brand new for $54K (before taxes and fees)

You might be "Correct" I know someone who took their C55 to carmax and they only offered the person 44K Plus it depends on the options

I have a 2004 C32 with ~19000 miles on it. The car is in perfect shape, and is not the daily driver, and is garage kept. Never modded, never wrecked. It has every option except the lighting package. I'd be happy to let someone assume the $640/month lease.

new c55 would be 58-59 out the door. my guess is you can save after tax and everything around 5-6k with my car. 5k miles driven and you get 5k off. i think is the goin rate. maybe im wrong.

44 at car max and then they sell it for 50k and it was sold very quick.

maybe i will just keep it if the depreciation is that bad.

so if interested let me know

ps i saw one car in teh classified w 12+k miles offered at $49k. i would pay the extra 2k for 7k less miles but that is just me.

4363 miles actually.

My car listed for $61,090 with the Autobahnd paint protection, added at time of purchase. The 5% MA sales tax was on top of that, of course. I had the Winter mats and cargo net thrown in gratis. As far as I can tell, that's about $4K above invoice. I got a discount that amounted to about $2500 off MSRP. I would consider low fifties for sale. I do not believe there is a better cared for car in such pristine always-garaged condition. I also have a set of 17" AMG Winter wheels and mounted tires, available separately. I only drove on the decent days in Winter but it was nice to know I could take it if I needed to.

Rgds,
Norm

Thanks guys for all the info. Right now I am looking seriousl at a white C55, and one that is Pewter colored (great price, just not sure about the color, I think I might swing by a Benz dealership on the way home to make sure I like it.) Silver and Black are very common, but I may end up with that color as well. When I purchased my M3, it took me 6 weeks or so to find the "perfect" one for me - so I'm prepared to wait that long for the right deal on a C55. It's an amazing automobile, plus it has 4 doors. I'll miss having a clutch, but the wife wasn't a fan of it so I guess I'll have to get over it. If any of you come up with any more leads, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again.

I "Think" that we might be looking at the same ones I really have a penchant for black cars. My C32 is black and I get alot of compliments on it. Mi-Espousa has a silver car and I am not a fan of it. If I don't find a nice black one soon. I'll have to let my wife get the Lexus that she wants

You won't be sorry if you get the pewter. There aren't many of them and they look great, even dirty (not that I would ever let it get dirty).

Here's what Pewter looks like...

It's probably my favorite MB color next to Techtite. I think it might also be the third most popular color, next to black and silver.

The C55 is a pretty dramatic departure from the C32. I thought you offed that car for an S4?

It still gives a pretty good idea of what the color looks like on the car. I love that color for some reason. I wish I could do black, but it's just too much work. Arizona is definately more fun 'cuz it's closer to the sun, though.

I have both cars for right now (I had the benz in the pic with the S4). I'm ditching the C32 in the very near future.

I have a Silver/Black C55, fully loaded with less than 5k miles that I'm seriously considering to sell (want to trade up for a CLS). I will post in the classifieds in this forum and others, on cars.com, Autotrader, etc when I'm ready to sell- and I'll be sure to shoot you a PM if you're still looking.

I appreciate that - thanks! And yes, I'm still looking, just delivered my '02 M3 to the new owner yesterday. Man that was a fun car, I'll miss it dearly.
