LOOKS GREAT! And, man your car is low. Makes me want to lower mine just a tad more.

I have my PSS9 set at 5 all the way around, I'm guessing you have played with the settings and determined that 6 and 7 were the best?

From the sound of your post it seems that you are confusing the adjustable shock valving for ride height adjustment. I have extensive experience with the Carlsson RS kit (same basic but possibly a slightly different spring rate) and the numbers on the knob do not adjust the ride height. That is only changed with the adjustable spring perches front and back (the threaded adjustment collar). You need to jack the car up and use the tool supplied in the kit to twist the adjustment collar to change the ride height. I may have read your post wrong but that was my understanding.

As for shock valving, I have tried every combination of settings (front and back) and found running the front fairly stiff and the rear fairly soft is a very nice set-up for street use (something like 3-4 in the front and 8 in the rear). This makes the car have a decent ride and works well with creating a neutral handling bias. I know this is "reverse logic" with respect to the art of suspension settings but I have found the W203 to work best with stiff front shocks/springs and softer rear settings. The RENNtech springs work the same way and those springs really reduce understeer a great deal.

For more aggressive driving you would want to run a 3 front and a 5 rear. This makes the car fairly firm (to firm for some people) and there is little to no body roll with street driving.

At the track, we normally use the settings of 2 front and 2 rear but this makes the back end fairly skittish if the track is at all bumpy. Setting the rears to 3 and the fronts to 2 is a good setting for our local tracks her in so-cal.

These are what feel the best to us. The scary thing is that lap times don’t seem to get much better if at all with the firmer settings but you feel far more in control of the car. I guess we could push the car harder but we are already destroying a set of tires in a day 5-6 sessions (and I mean the tires are chunked down to the cords -- this car NEEDS massive amounts of negative camber!).

****NOTE**** The settings I stated were for the Carlsson RS kit and I am not sure if a 1 on the PSS-9 is equal to a 1 on the Carlsson RS. I read on a different forum that a 1 on the Carlsson (stiffest setting) was really the 9 on the PSS-9. So if the PSS-9 kit reall works on an inverse scale of that on the Carlsson RS all the values above should be inverted. The shocks on the two kits do seem to be 100% the same but ths springs are likely slightly different.

PSS-9 and the Carlsson RS kit are great kits and really make the car what the factory should have done. Now only if we could get 275 front tires and 285 rear tires like the M3 can run and we would be in business! Darn small wheel wells. Note to AMG: we need fender flares!

that's my buddy's Evo, that thing is wickedly fast!!! something like 400++HP at the wheels w/ his mods!! he smokes my stock car! I tried to get my other friends to come out to the photo shoot too (M3 w/ BBS Lm's, S2K w/ Lm's, S2K w/ Volks) but they were all working..

I actually think it's perfect! IMO , not too low, just right/flushed...as long as I can see some tire between the fender to the wheel, I'm cool, I don't like em where all you can see is fender and wheel, no tire, like they're touching each other.. my height was the default setting for my PSS9s when I got them..I actually had them raise it a lil after install to see what it'd look like just sittin right on top of where the tire starts, but the W203 has such a high rear-end it looked too much like stock, so I had them put it back down after seeing it on the road, and I must say it looks sooooo much betta on a roll when slightly tucked (w/ no rubbing problems ) I say do it!!,the littlest adjustments makes such a big visual difference I think in lowered cars...I know BenzoAmg is itching to do it!!

I have played w/ it a lil, but my buddy, who's pretty keen on the handling dept, suggest that I set the front softer and the rear firmer, so turn in is better, contrary to what CynCarvin32 suggested on his response,...so far I feel the car handles nicely...but I will try what CynCarvin suggested (firm front, soft rear) and see if there's a notable difference in handling/ride

CONGRATS and welcome to the Club!! ....I got it on ebay...$50, it's the one w/ a plastic decal that you stick on the metal base....there's a more expensive one sold here by a member, for like $150, it's actually metal that's sculpted out, but I prefer the one I have....
