C32 whistle noise at +110 mph ???

Hi,

I recently purchased a C32, I am very satisfied with it. Only thing is a whistle sound at speeds of 110-120 mph and beyond...it seems like some wind issue coming from the ventilation area. I checked seals from mirrors, doors, roof, gps antenna and all is ok.

Now surfing the web I found a couple of vids of c32 and they have the same problem!...you can download the vids at:

http://c32noise.50megs.com/C32vsM3.WMV
http://c32noise.50megs.com/C32vsCLK50K.WMV

Notice that when the car changes position (bump, turn or small level changes) the whistle dissapears and then comes back again...

Any ideas of what could be causing this ???...its driving me

Thanks!
Mce

Same thing here. Came to the conclusion that its the small antenna on the roof cutting through the wind at high speeds.

Mistery solved!

Finally the noise went away!

Turned out that the noise was caused by a deffective seal in the rear windshield, in the upper part of it...

Tried this weekend up to 162 Mph (260 Km/h) and no noise, only the "normal" wind noise.

So if any of you have this problem, you know where to start looking at.

Mine starts to make that kind of noise at 194 mph. But it went away once I hit above 220mph. I'll check the rear windshield then.

I noticed that too..naturally when leaving the dealership I gave her a little test run...I thought it was my doors too, but the service guy told me that it was "natural"...I'm a bit jealous though...yesterday I drove the E55 from Portland, OR to San Fran, CA..at 150 there was no noise at all..it was smooth sailing! Why can't the C32 be silent too dang it!
