vogtland springs on C55

i'm thinking of getting 19" wheels, 8.5 front 235/35 and 9.5 rear 265/30, on my C55 and putting on Vogtland springs. few questions:
1) anyone have pics of springs on 19" rims on C55?
2) will i need to put pads on front and rear to even out fender gap? #4 pad on front and back or different # pad for front and back?
3) any rubbing issues?
any info which be much appreciated. TIA

There's no such thing as spring pads on the front...rear only. I haven't seen anyone with Vogtland springs on a C55, so the rest I'm not so sure about.

https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...gtland+springs

I've got a C32 with Vogtlands but have 18's now. I did have 19's w/ #4 pads and I was very happy with the set up. Perfect gap all around but under full load, it would rub in the back.

From what I've seen, the drop is similar to Renntech springs.
I'll try to dig up pics.

and when was vogtland springs ghetto?

He probably means the W203 do not use spring pads on the front, only rear. The W202 uses front and rear spring pads.

Just like the W208 CLK used front and rear spring pads, the W209 only uses rear.

anywayz, Vader13 has Vogtland springs on his C32. Should be the same ride height as the C55. Just imagine it has a long overhang.

Vogtland drops slightly lower than the RENNtech.

I have RENNtech springs on my car and I'm on #1 pads. You can compare it

Now I'm confused...

Are #1 pads the thickest or is it #4? What ever it is, I have the thickest ones

If you think Vogtland springs are getto then you won't like my suggestion. If you are only after more drop I would just cut the stock C55 springs. They are probably just as stiff as any of the aftermarket springs so you won't have to worry about them bottoming out.

thinking about getting 19" front 8 and rear 10 wheels. my question is are there anyone running 10 rear w/ lowering springs and 265-30-19 tires w/o any rubbing issues? i think 9.5 rear w/ car lowered is ok but don't know if 10 rear will be ok. TIA for info.

I run Vogtland's in the front only on my C32 and like it better than my other C32 with Renntechs all around.

I'm not directing this at you in particular, but I wonder why anyone would run 10in wide in the rear. Doesn't the rubber look a little stretched? 265 is the widest rubber you can run in the rear, why not run 9.5 and have a little more coverage to protect the edges of your rims? Sorry, off topic.

Extreme rolling and/or shaving will be necessary to avoid rubbing with 10" rears. Depending on how low you go, you'll probably even have to roll the fenders with 9.5" rears.

i was thinking about getting iforged equip rims and the only size they run in 19" for my C55 is 8 front and 10 rear. if i will need to roll fender or extreme shaving then i'll have to think about getting that still rims. never really modded my cars b4 so was wondering if it's a big deal to roll fender and if not approximately how much for fender rolling? TIA

AMGod, any pics of the car with the Vogtland springs? I'm in the market for springs but haven't decided what I want to get.
