methods of ECU reset?
I wanna reset my ecu but don't want to disconnect the battery as I don't wanna setup all the settings in my car.
could I just unplug the ecu for a while to reset the ecu? or anything I can do with the fuses?

On earlier cars like the 300E, you could pull one of the fuses to drop power from the ECU. I'm not sure which one it is on newer models but you should be able to find it.

thanks for the replies.
I wonder if I disconnect the battery for like an hour, all the settings(memory seat positions, time, radio, and ESP) will remain the same?
I am gonna install the pulley, so better reset the ecu to let it apdot the new air-flow changes.

10 min would do it. it will clear it. you will need to turn your steering wheel left and right to set the ESP and your windows up and down and the sun roof.
