Mods done to my car

Well I had speedtuning tune my car, added the greenfilters and deleted the reso. I g-tech the 1/4 mile 3 times before and after, same road and day. 13.61 @104/ 13.40 @104 / 13.44 @103.8 I then had the tune done, added the filters, and had the reso replaced with a straight pipe. I drove home 240 miles from maryland, giving it its time to relearn/break in. The temps were about 10 degrees warmer for the next 3 runs. 13.40 @ 107.8/ 13.02 @108.1/ 12.89 @108.3

I did feel a difference and see a difference. I did these runs in sport mode with the gear selecter in 4 and esp off. I wanted to try some more but it started to rain. This car needs more tire, it spins to much. I will borrow my friends gtech again and try some more with better launches, and maybe a set of drag radials

Congratulations on breaking into the twelves, especially on significantly warmer air! Imagine how you will do beyond the quarter mile now, if you are so inclined. I think with the right prep you could have done it without the mods, but this will probably give you a lot more consistency for your driving style. Looks like you get better at this with every run and your tires are probably warming up. Keep hunting.

When you say they tuned your car, what exactly was done?

Remapping of the fuel trims,timeing,air/fuel ratio, and removal of the speed limiter.

I have been racing cars for 15 years, and having had work done on them for years. I have had 2 LS! Vettes,a LS1 T/A, 2 Stangs and have have all of them tuned and worked. So I do know what Im talking about. All cars have a conservative tune from the factory. I have tested G-tech along with racing the 1/4 mile at Englishtown and LI motoersports raceway when it was open, I found them to be reliable within +/- .10 of a second. So as for my claim being high, I feel I can stand behind it. When I can get to a strip I will post my slips.

My past cars
73 454 Vette never raced, Dad took it away from me, had it a week at 16 yrs old
81 Cutlass worked high 9s STOLEN
84 T-bird turbo coupe mid 13s with alot of work
86 Conquest TSI low 13s
88 GT high 12s rolled it at the track RIP
89 GT low 11s
93 Lincoln Mark 8 mid 13s
98 T/A low 12s
98 Vette A4 mid 12s
99 Vette MN6 high 11s

With the power you are putting down you should run high 10s-low 11s with traction. I ran high 11s with a vette with 425 at the wheels. Looking at your post on mbpower, those #s have to be rwhp, I cant see how Kleemann would get crank #s on a dyno unless they pulled the motor and bench dynoed it. At sea level with the 7lbs of boost you should see a BIG difference. If E55 are running mid 12s stock you should be killing them. Weight alone and with that power.

leave it in sport mod and the gear selector in 1... the transmission will automatically shift at redline!!! powerbrake alittle be4 you launch, loading up the torque converter can help... just learn the car and how it acts!!!

G-techs are slightly off... you need to go to a drag strip for real results!!!

oh and im sure you all kno this but no one is bringing it up...if you hold the shift knob to the left for a full second it puts the trans in optimum mode, which holds each gear till redline

Actually, I didn't know that. I'll have to try that... I'm planning on going up to the drag strip tomorrow night.

$350...in your opinion was it worth it...what kind of a difference did you feel?
Heres another shifting tip...say your in 5th and need to drop two gears fast what i found works is you downshift with the shifter then a split second later hit the downshift button on the steeringwheel. If you do it right(in one motion...it almost takes practice) and the transmission allows you to do it(dont worry the trans wont let you do it if your gonna hit the limiter) it feel like your cars got NOS!

does anyone else have Speedtuning or know of it and if it has a positive/negative impact on the C32? I've read mixed opinions.
