Just installed flat hood emblem

I don't know if I like it though. The ornament is nice and heavy because it is metal and has a quality feel. Even though the flat emblem is made by the same manufacturer, it feels cheap because it's plastic. I wish it were a little smaller and made of brass, similar to the $150 AMG badge some people have purchased.

I bought it, but never installed it. When looking at it, it looks as if it might scratch the paint if tightened. I wanted to make sure I had the option of switching back and forth between badge and ornament. Also, you need to buy the CL style grill to keep consistent with MB stylin.

I agree that the flat emblem will give a sportier look. But I think a 4-dr car looks better with the star than the flat emblem. None of the MB 4-dr cars have flat emblem except the ML. I installed the flat emblem for a week but switched back to the star.
Well...thats just my opinion.

There is a $150 badge floating around, and it is the one I want, but not at that price. It's metal, of quality, and is smaller. It fits right into the depression.
