I wonder what the circumstances are of the crash, but I realize the pictures are from www.ecocar.com, which sells among other things, salvaged cars. Check it out, they have a 2001 M3 that is done for.

Anyone else notice how the speedometer is stuck at around 75mph?

The passenger cabin is perfectly intact, if anyone was in that car, they are most likely perfectly safe.
I am beginning to think that this C32 was parked, turned off, with nobody in it when it was hit, because the air bags were not deployed, but then again, the speedo is stuck at 75mph, and the rear is almost perfect except for a little bit of minor damage which makes me think the driver of the C32 rear ended someone.
Too many different possibilities and situations, not sure.

AirBag Deployment
If you look at the damage report on the "evocar" link, it says that the drivers side airbag needs to be replaced. Doesn't look like it deployed but it must have.
That said, it looks like the car was standing still when it happened....maybe an M3 plowed into him. Whatever the case, it's hard to figure out what happened. They say this car is repairable. Be careful about buying a used red C32....

I really doubt that this car is repairable. Even if it does, it will cost the same as getting a new one! Who is going to buy a car for $16.5K and have to chip in another $20-30K to repair it!? I dont think the damage report is a complete one, it doesnt mention anything about the right side of the car. The doors, wheels and suspension were all bent.

My only question is, Why did the driver's airbag not deploy? The impact looks severe enough to make it pop, but yet it's still in the steering wheel. This is really biazzare!!!

The major impact appears to have been the left front but there is damage all along the right side, including the rear suspension. I wonder if it were parked next to a curb and when it was hit was pushed over the curb and into something else.
