good deal just down the road...

There's a Chrysler SRT-6 for sale at the local Chrysler dealership (Chrysler of Rockville, MD)... It's been there since October 04' and is heavily discounted. Sticker price was $46K and it's going for $35K. Keep in mind it has the same supercharged V6 that's in the C32.. I'm not interested, but I think it's a good deal..
Eric...

Why does this engine only have 330hp? Is it detuned a bit/

Probably and more restrictive exhausts... It's still felt quicker than the C32. After all it weighs 300 lbs less..

Who in their right mind would ever buy a Chrysler that stickers for close to $50K, when you can buy the real deal (amg) for a little more . Horrible marketing strategy by Daimler Chrysler...

I think you might be surprised. My father (a surgeon who annually pulls in ~ $500k a year) decided to pick up a 300C SRT-8. This is in favor of the latest offerings from MB, BMW, Audi, (insert high-end luxury car brand here). Personally, I think Chrysler has come a long way in the last few years. Granted, he was somewhat upset when I showed up with an AMG Mercedes (and proceeded to hand him his SRT-laden ***). Still, the SRT models offer massive bang-for-the buck, and many consumers, even those who can afford it, see no reason to shell out $80,000 for a vehicle that isn't measurably superior to a $50,000 Chrysler.

I don't disagree with your statement, but we are not comparing the 300C SRT-8. We are comparing the Crossfire (SR.. whatever the hell it is) to the amg c-class. The difference in the sticker price between the two is nominal and that is were my previous argument applies.

Gotcha. In that case, I agree.
