How about the usual MKB upgrade on top of a bored out C32!

I saw it in European Car this month. It actually a C32 wagon. They swaped out pistons so the bore gets increased to 97.0 from 89.9. Compression is raised to 9.3:1. On top of that, they do the usual upgrades they do: air filters, cams, valve springs, headers and complete exhaust system, and a pulley upgrade, and re-mapped ECU.
The end result?
472 HP and 428 lb. ft. of torque!

Already looking into it...

If anyone wants a special project like this, let me know. We can always build a full-custom project car.

Thanks

Ben

Is it really possible to overbore this engine 7.1 millimeters (0.2795 inch)? That is one hell of a lot of metal to remove.

If I did the math right, that is an increase in displacement of 525 cc (32 ci). I find this very difficult to believe.

Lynn: In order to go from 89.9 to 97 mm, new piston sleeves need to be installed. This what AMG does with 4.3L block to make it 5.5L. Stroke also goes from 84 mm to 92 mm. On a 3.2L V6 going from 89.9 to 97 mm will give you 3725cc. In Germany due to tax law they round up to 3.8L.

We are currently working on a sleeve setup that allows one to convert a 4.3L or 5L motor into 6.2L with 97 mm bore and 103mm stroke. We have not looked at 3.2L, yet, but 4.0L plus could be a possibility.

vadim@eversport, thank you for the answer. I forgot about the possibility of changing sleeves in alloy block. My modding/racing experience was long ago and with iron blocks.
