Raced a sl500?
totally noob question but i'm gonna ask anyways. lurking around with the beautiful sl's and came to find out that the 100K sl 500 is pushing only 302hp while the c55 at around 60K is doing 368. I know that the sl has a whole lot of torque, but for those who have gone at it with the fearless SL, what was the outcome?

thought so, but it was kind of hard to believe that a 100K car can be that much slower than a 4 door C class, damn i want a C55! haha thanks for answering my questions fellas.

C55 would kill it. Look at the sti impreza, its 25k and is faster then a c55. Or at least thats what the majority of the read tests in the reputable magazines say. And besides someone shopping for an sl500 has a whole different agenda then someone that is looking at a 4 door sedan

Exactly. The SL500 is a damn nice looking car..lot's of bells and whistles, and LOOKS really fast. I haven't, but my wife killed a new SL500 with little effort.

no its not, a c55 can run a 1/4 in 13.1-13.3 depending on source
ive never seen a sti run those times, and even if it did it would never ever ever run close to the trap speed of c55. c55 106-107.3 (somewhere around low 107's) i have never seen a sti run high 105"s, i dont even think ive seen 105.

I killed a CLS500 side by side , easy.
C55 is No.1 for its price
