I put the C55 spoiler on! Here's the pics

yo guys, well i got the C55 spoiler for $526.50- managed to get the dealer to give me a 10% discount- pays to be nice to those guys!

here's the pics. couldn't be happier with the fit- it fit absolutely perfectly

also, after some research, i was told the spoiler will stay on with just the 3M tape that came on it. the dealer does not use glue. so that's how i installed it. i don't think it's going anywhere, and if it comes up, i'm confident the dealership will fix it. the paint was perfect, couldn't be happier.

love to hear everyone's thoughts

not a big fan of tinting the windows. so far i love the goodyears, they've been very quiet, and super grippy. i can't seem to get the to squeal, i've taken some turns REALLY hard. i was very happy when they were rated the highest in car and driver. for the price, there was just no question i was getting them. and oddly enough, non-car type people always comment about how aggressive and sharp the tires are. the michelin's just don't look that great- and let;s face it the top four tires out there perform very close to each other, so sometimes it comes down to which one you think looks the coolest.

as for the plate, not sure why i need to cover it in the first place, anyone can read it on the street.

Nicely done! Did you say that the dealer installed it or you did? If it was the dealer, how much did they charge you?

i installed it myself, i had a friend watching to see if i put it on straight- and i got close. i think it's about a millimeter to the left, but it's not something i think i'll ever notice again.

A millimeter is definitely nothing to worry about. Did you let it sit for hours or clamp it down? No lift-up issues on either end huh? Again, it looks great!

i didn't clamp it down at all. dealer said it would not be necessary. we'll see over time. i'll keep you guys posted. i made sure the dealer knew i was relying on them to put this on, so if it comes up, i'm going to them!!!

Looks damn good!
Mine is lifting slightly on the edges (I mentioned this in a previous thread), and plan on having the dealer re-stick it (dealer said it was glued ) at my first service.

Your car looks incredible! Clean and tasteful-nothing over the top. Those 18'' rims look awsome! If they are real AMG I'd hate to see how much you paid for them. I'd love to put the c55 spoiler on but I was quoted close to $1,000 cnd from my dealership for it and said forget it! I'll browse e-bay and see what I can find...............

the wheels are real AMGs and cost me about 2K. and that was with two of the wheels being purchased off of ebay. they were very worth it.

as far as the spoiler. the best price i found was 526 from the dealer. you don't need them to install it. it took two seconds. just peel the tape and slap it on. very worth it, really beefs up the back end.

the spoiler on formymercedes.com is supposed to be pretty good and it's half the price. you might want to try that if 526 is too high. i wanted the real deal to make sure it fits right and it does.

Well, that looks deliscious of course!!! That looks just awesome - however I would really love to get a CF one like someone posted here last week I think.

How did you prep the surface before you did the install?

Looking good as always bro!

you'd have to check with the dealer. the w220 is the s or e class? also check formymercedes.com.
