Cannibalism with a Brabus CL 6.1 - Kill

I am not a big fan of a Mercedes killing a Mercedes, but the temptation was too strong.

I saw a CL driving pretty fast up a two lane (one way) road, I caught up to just to sort of play around. It opened up on the left and I took off. Bummed, the CL didn't take the bait....but he did drive faster than normal. I think he was contemplating if he should go for it. So, we were headed to both turning right in a two lane turn lane. Before I could really think, he actually came up fast on my left, we both turned right (green light) and both hammered it. Unfortunately I had the ESP on and it cut my power. He pulled initially and when I started to gain momentum we headed to a red light. Great! It's on.

He was so proud and he wanted to roast me again just to tell me that he spent more money than me on his car and that I shouldn't mess with him. Okay, well lets try this again but I will turn off the ESP. We both power braked slightly, the light went green and I had a perfect launch. I am assuming he did too. By the end of first gear, he was at my rear bumper. Second gear, two-three cars back. Time to slow down, don't want to be the moron that ends up in jail going 100+ in a 45 speed limit. He was determined to show me who's boss, and he stayed on it until he passed me. About 3-4 seconds after I was off the throttle. Anyway, he does deserve some respect since he is another benz owner and it was a sweet car. He turned off into his Newport Coast gated community and I went on my way, satisfied with my little C32.

What are the stats on that car? AMG states it is has 426hp or 445hp (I don't know if it was an "s"). http://www.brabus-online.de/prog04e.htm It definately is a great car...good looking.

That CL was probably a BRABUS POSER! No way is the C32 gonna beat a legit one much less a CL55.

First off, a stock cl55 will already hang your *** to you. So will a E55, SL55 and a CLS55. You don't stand a chance against those cars.
(I don't know if it was an "s").
Pretty sure it wasn't... cause there's no such thing. The stock already has 493 horses. I got no clue why the brabus site lists it as 426

The Pre-2003 55 models were non-supercharged.

It was definately a Brabus and definately a CL 6.1 or 6.1s.

Does anyone have any further information on this Brabus, stats, etc?

What makes it so definitive? The badge on the trunk? The wheels and the bodykit? lol

Let me restate it, it was definately a CL. If it was a CL55 post 2003 or CL65, it would have killed me. So, it could have been a pre-2003 CL55 with poser Brabus 6.1 badges. I doubt it though, as the guy pulled into a Newport Coast gated community. The houses in there probably begin at 3 million each.

The main reason I posted was that I was surprised I pulled on him and I was posting to try and see the stats on the Brabus CL 6.1 as I wasn't very familiar with it, besides what Brabus' site listed.

Quite a bit of people on here stated Brabus is teh weak! So you are possibly right. As long as you acknowledge that you know the muscle of the CL55 S/C.

I know a guy who lives in a million dollar house, had a B9 Brabus kit in his W210......Genuine exhaust, engine cover, emblem, everything....almost.

Dunno. I heard he tried to kill the car and hit a big rig on the freeway to destroy it. Crazy guy!
