(VIDEO) My C55 vs M3 and EVO 9 MR
Okay here's a video we shot tonight. My friend's M3 (Dut from m3forum.net), other friends Evo 9 MR, versus my C55. We are for the most part completely stock performance-wise. We went at it a couple times and the C55 walks away. The race is pretty even until the very top end. Hopefully this ends all debate about which is faster.
EDIT: The EVO is in every race. It could not hang from a rolling start because the boost tapers off in high end.
My conclusion is that if the C55 gets a decent launch and doesn't fall behind too far then the C55 will win. Enjoy!

as stated, the M3/C55 are very close in the early stages of a race (to 100), with the launch probably going to the M3. on the roll to 100, they're pretty much dead nutz, with the M3 slightly pulling at the top of it's rpm in each gear, and loosing any ground on the shift
once 100 hits, the c55 starts pulling with it's great displacement! the 4-5 car lengths to 100 talk etc......is a bit farfetched from the other thread. it's more like around a car length. good wins!
in my experience, i'll take the C-amg's to at least 100 with no problems (from the launch and slow roll), but haven't had room to do +100, thus my clean record against C32/C55's. it's ironic that the same thing has happened to the E55 and the M5, but reversed. The E55 will get the launch to 100, but the M5 will pull top end. It's funny having the street-drag racer for each of the classes.

next time try invite a fellow C32, if stock would be better.
I would think the C32 would be slower off the line, but it will fare ok at top speed... would be close to the C55.

Obviously, from what I can see on the M3Forums, we have more than a handful of M3 drivers who are more than willing and now want a piece of me. I wish we didn't need to get up to those speeds but the differences were so minute that we didn't have a choice but to wring it out. As soon as I started pulling away to the point it was obvious to me and to the camera I immediately backed off.

yeah i'm down for doing stupid things in san diego if you ever need another c55. 140 on the I-15: Done. Not the smartest thing I ever did but it made getting to Pala a whole lot quicker.
