FYI - No CLK63 Coupe for the US?
I mentioned that they are both being released at Geneva. He informed me that his order sheet didn't show the CLK63 Coupe coming, and, that he called Mercedes directly to double confirm.
Has anybody else heard this?
Not cool....
one thing I do know... most dealers don't know what will be hitting their showrooms.. specially the sales agents.
my opinion: They will bring the the coupe and NOT the Convertible to the US.
Now if mercedes decides to continue this for the new CLK I think they are missing the boat. Once the CLK63 comes out I sure there will be plenty that want the coupe. I used to own two of the older CLKs and I never ever wanted the convertible.
THe CLK63 will be a car that slots right between the new M3 and M6. Both of these cars have coupe versions. I think it would be a mistake to allow all the perspective buyers (that only want coupes) go look at BMW's instead.
BTW does anyone know why MB is just selling clk55 cabriolet
here? Why dont they offer the coupe anymore?

clk 55 is a lot better to drive and is reasonably faster than a 500, my cousin had a 500, we raced numerous times, i also drove his car and it feels completely different.
i couldve got an e55 but i prefer n/a engines and "regular" suspension

I believe your car is close to a FULL SECOND faster than the current CLK500

While I have no clue about the CLK63 (will find out soon) why would mb do a total flip flop on the CLK now? There was no couple CLK55 this last year but there were cabrio's made for us sales.
I think the coupe was weak in the past but this engine upgrade might give it a boost in the publics eye.
But being that MB is slow to change and learn dont be shocked if we never see the coupe on the W209 chassis again in the usa.
