lol if I had a C55 AMG I would not be complaining either with the throttle response . People like me with the non supercharged 3.2 V6 engine, the throttle response is pretty sluggish. If I reset the throttle, it is better, but I want more lol. If anyone has a an slk320, c320 or any other V6 MB engine that has tried the sprintbooster, please write a review.

Sprint booster

Markbone,
Take a look at the crossfire site, the crossfire is a SLK320 with Chrysler nameplate. Here is a review on the device. By the way I will post another review in both forums as I have a auto and the group 's order should be in our hands in about 10 to 14 days. I would think since there are buyers from both sites you should have many reviews to compare.

Thanks Rowdy,

I have been a member since early 2005. So I have seen that thread way too many times already. That is great that there is a group order . The only issue I have is choosing between the older version vs newer version scenario.

The best case scenario for me would be to find someone near where I live that has a sprintbooster, and that I can try it for myself. A large open parking lot is fine with me. If anyone lives in the Southeast Florida area around Broward and Palm Beach counties with a sprintbooster in there auto tranny MB or Crossfire, that would be kind enough to let me demo it around a quite part of town, please send me a private message or just post a reply.

After long talks with Stamatis Boulekos I have learned that there are only two versions for MB and if you purchase yours from them or a authorized dealer you will not get the old aggressive version, it simply is not made anymore. You can tone down a manual trans by using the automatic version but that is the only difference, one for manual and one for automatic. This is from the owner of the company,

Der Mr Werner,

There are two Versions for MB. One is for automatic transmission models and one version is for manual transmission models. The part for manual transmission can only be installed in manual cars ,the part for automatic can be installed in automatic cars but also can be used in manual cars as a ''lighter'' version if someone wants the acceleration less sharp than the ''sharper'' manual version .

Best Regards

Stamatis Boulekos

I hope this answers your question.

Zeppelin,
I am afraid I have no experience with the Hyper Voltage System, I did read once about it but have never seen one. My name on that forum is PAULW as there was a Rowdy maybe he has had some experience with that product I'm not sure.

The Sprint Booster's arrived yesterday, I installed mine and thought I would let you know my findings. The devise is easy to install it took less than 15 minutes and I was on the road driving. All I can say is I can't believe the difference. My car is an auto and will now bark the tires and put you back in the seat from a dead start. To describe it I would say the throttle no longer feels like a drive by wire but like mechanical linkage. I drove it to work today and from idle to full throttle it is smooth and very responsive, in a word quick to throttle up, no lag ever just right now. This isn't like resetting your computer, I have done that to many times and it does not compare to the quick acceleration response I now have. I will tell you it is better than I had hoped for. I know there are people who will argue the results but that is because they have not tried the devise. Remember, this is for throttle response not HP but it will give you the HP you do have quicker and smoother.Try it and you will believe.

I was in on the group buy, and have received mine. I'll report the results when I get a chance to install it. Sorry in advance for the time this may take, because I just came home from the hospital with a new baby!

See you all later - play nice

C32 Hyper Voltage System

I have not posted for a while, but this C32 Hyper Voltage System interests me. I did a little research and found this link, is it the same thing as everyone is talking about?

I emailed bulekos dynamic about the problem and the contact there said he would exchange it. Good people to deal with.

m3 eater did you install yours?

Not yet - every minute I have at home is currently spent with my new 7lb. daughter. I haven't even looked into how easy it is to install the Sprint booster in a W203 yet. If it's a 10 to 15-min job, I might be able to pull myself away to the garage this weekend. Fingers crossed...

Your comment is strange, considering that I read elsewhere that on the W203 it is under the dash, NOT the pedal. Look here:

Can one of you guys with an ohm meter measure pin 1 to pin 1 on the adapter and the rest of the pins. If they are just resstors in series with each wire I would like to know so I can build my own for 50 cents.

well if you find the plug let me know, i had the panel under my dash off and could not see anything that resembled the plugs on the sprint booster. The only ones that would work are the ones off of the pedal maybe i should be clearer it is the whole pedal assembly not just the pedal. technically the ones off of the pedal are up under the dash its just easier to get too if you remove the whole pedal assembly you dont have to be gumby to get to them this way. I thought this piece mounts between the TPS and the harness and the TPS is mounted on the pedal assembly itself
who with a w203 has this thing installed and working maybe we can get a pic. I wont have my new one untill the end of the month.

Sprint Booster will improve very much the response time of the accelerator and eliminate the throttle lag.

There are two versions of Sprint Booster for your vehicle. One is for manual transmission (BDD 451) and one for automatic transmission (BDD 451A) .

The price is 226 EUR plus shipping costs which depends on the destination.

The payment shall be via bank transfer to our bank account.

We will need your full contact details , model (auto /manual) so we can
provide you the final price including shipping and our bank account for the
transfer.

I'd like to inform you that our company will be closed untill 28/08/2006 for
summer holidays , so you can procced to the order after this date .

pin 1 - straight connection
pin 2 - open
pin 3 - straight connection
pin 4 - inf
pin 5 - inf
pin 6 - straight connection

So looks like the pin 4 and 5 signals are the ones that are modified. Sorry guy, it isn't just a resistor. It's probably just a small amplifier/rail.
