2003 C32
The C32 just left on a flatbed

Well, had the car all of 6 months now. Hoped that I would never have to get the car towed, but it's happened. I was leaving my parking garage when I heard and felt a thud. Engine shutoff and would not start again. Display showed "1 Malfunction" Put it into park, then couldn't get it into neutral to push the car out of the way. I did learn how to put it back into neutral when there are power failures. You have to lift up the coin holder in the centre console the stick a screw driver in the hole and press down while putting the lever into neutral.

Might as well get everything fixed now. I suspect that I have to get a new intercooler pump, as i lose power at high speeds sometimes (WOT and the car is slowing down at times). Suspect that I have glycol contamination in the transmission. Heated seat doesn't work. Also need to get my Service B done right away.

Hope I don't have a lemon. Not impressed so far.

And I just ordered a set of Bilstein PSS9s today

Hope you are covered under warranty!!! One of the reasons that I bought a new C230, although I miss the hp!!! Good luck and remember that you bought an awsome car regardless of the current problems.

Thanks! Yep, everything's under warranty. I still do love the car and hopefully after this there won't be anymore problems, as it seems the ones i have are pretty common.

Can't wait to get the coilovers on and see how much they transform the car. With the problems i've been having i'm really reluctant to do any engine mods, even the the itch to mod is killing me.

Wow, you have basically the same problems as me. Intercooler pump, heated seat doesn't work... lets see, what else...

Remote keyless entry doesn't work.
A/C vent makes thumping sound upon starting the car.
Control arm bushing is bad.
Probably got Glycol Contamination...

I didn't sign up for this.

You dont want a hyundai! Just wait until your first accident with that! Its kinda like the old VW buses where your knees also served as the bumpers! I test drove a hyundai with my grandmother a bit ago and hated it. She ended up with a civic.

Sorry to hear the C32 has given you problems. Hopefully when you get it back it will be better than new!

Lol! No, don't get Hyundai, get a C43. There are some on Ebay (5 to be exact): http://motors.search.ebay.com/c43_Pa...Z1QQsacatZ6001

Here is a great thread about C43 vs C32, very informative comparison between these cars: https://mbworld.org/forums/c36-amg-c43-amg-w202/141655-c43-vs-c32.html

Good luck with your repairs man. I sincerely hope you get over your problems ASAP. It must really suck when you are so excited to buy a BEAST like this, and turns out to be a rotted apple.

Take care

intercooler pump 70% yes

rest of the problem are W203 common problems.

if you got glyco containmanation you will feel the transmission is dying. Not the normal jerk in 1st when the supercharger kicks in.

btw, 98-2000 C43 uses the same gearbox as the W210 E50/55. The transmission tend to fail on these cars. quite some members have already gone through new gearboxes.

2003 C32
Thanks for the comments guys. I'm glad that these are all common problems and that I'm getting them all fixed in one shot. Still looking forward to the summer with this car and don't get me wrong ... I still love the C32. Would rather have this ride than a Hyundai any day ha ha. At least the Benz looks hot and I get lots of compliments on it.

C32 > C43 Hands down. The C43 is one and a half seconds slower 0-60 and prolly 2.2 seconds slower 1/4 mile. Older bodystyle too... Is it under warranty? Just get it fixed and get yourself some pullies/ecu tuning or some nice rims/tires/suspension.

Here is why you are jelous:

1) You paid a crap load of money for V6 Supercharged New Generation Daimler/Chrysler Benz while I am driving an old school V8 sleeper power house Original Benz.(No Crhysler added)

2)There is no turning back, cause you are stuck with the car
3) There is no superchargers, turbo chargers, or crap added to this V8 that still produces crap load of power in today's vehicles.....
4) Wherever you swing your dick, it'll hit a C32, when you can hardly find a C43.....

It's sad........

Very mature response! I was wrong thinking that you were only 16, now I'm sure you have to be 11 or 12 at the most. Must be strange driving a car that's almost the same age as you. In my case that would be a good thing, as the car would be worth about 10 times what it was new.

To each his own............the C32 and the C43 are both nice in their own ways. I can't stand the interiors of the "old school" cars, so even if you gave me a C43, I would likely sell it to upgrade to a newer w203. Lots of people like the old interior design and that's fine with me. It's kinda like why they started offering more colors than just Black back in the early 1900's. Change is good!

I agree with you 100% We have a lot of people here that drives C32 and had not had any major problems, for Sinister or Doush to say all that crap about C32 and cant even give proof why they suck is just Stupid and imature. He is trying to justify his mistake why he got sucked by a used car sales man on Buying a C43 when he realy wanted a C32..... maybe you should stop flipping burgers and get a real job so you can buy a newer car!

If this is not true Doush Bag then Why do you keep on comming to the C32/C55 Thread?

Go back to the C36/C43 thread and lie to your self how you have a wonder full car.
