MB Manhattan told me that I can't get rid of it unless I renew my subscription. What a racket... If you find out how to do it, let us know.

I only see the 1 malfunction for a minute

Wow, I thought the dealers were being trained on fixing and diagnosing the W203 chassis, back in 2002. This must be kind of embarassing for them.

Here are my notes, ... this should do it.

In stardiagnosis :-

Control Units -> Info. and comms. -> ICM -> Control Unit Adaptations -> Version Coding -> Optional Equipment

In the optional equipment menu you can set the following
to present or not-present depending on what you have

AUDIO, Tele-aid, Cellular Telephone, Trip Computer, Navigation.

If that doesn't work, call Steve.

Has anyone gotten this to work?

Penske Motor in W. Covina, CA just told me they can't disable it for my uncle's MY'04 CLK500.

most mb dealers are saying it is a 'safety issue' and not disabling it. but it is very doable.
