oil for 2002 c32

2002 c32 /////amg

oil for 2002 c32

does anyone know what type of motor oil does the c32 take? i know its oem filled with mobile 1, but dont know the weight and viscosity.

Mobil 1 0W-40. Approximately 8.5 quarts.

I thought this was downgraded to 7.5?...sorry to cloud the issue, but when I took mine to 'the MB guy down the way' for an oil change I was getting a message in my instrument cluster of 'Oil too full' or something to that effect. When I took it to the actual MB shop to get it dealt with, they said he put too much oil in and 7.5 was the right amount?...

2016 C63S,2013 C63 AMG Coupe, 2002 C32 AMG (gone but not forgotten)

I put 8 quarts, ran the engine for 1 minute, and checked the computer. Level was acceptable. The other .5 quart I keep in the trunk. My Chrysler-Benz drinks oil at 30,000 miles to the tune 1 quart every 1000 miles, with little or no highway driving.

I didn't know the number was reduced. Is this a directive from MB or just experience on the forum?
