Marked my territory today...

Still getting used to the unreal power of this "four door family sedan". Well my neighbor is the type that only buys American cars. He's got a mint '66 big block Chevelle and a 30's something ZZ Top hot rod. He is good for about 2 burnouts a week past my house. This morning I see him mowing his lawn and he shuts it down and says "so your sporting a benz?" So as I pull out of my driveway, I turn off the AC and Traction control. I stop in front of his house, left foot on the brake and punch it. Let off the brake after about 3 seconds and left 60 feet of stripes and smoke everywhere. I had to let off the gas because it started to get SIDEWAYS!!! I only wish I had his expression on video. I know it isn't the most mature thing to do but man was it cool. The way I see it, if you do something right the first time you don't need to do it again...

Couple more of those, and you will be in for some new rears. Man, this car melts rear tires like crazy, especially Rossos.

No kidding on the new tires. I had to peel off little pieces of melted rubber off the inner wheel fender!! Mine came with Goodyear F1's on it. They look super sweet from behind, but I know they are truely summer tires. I'll need to get something more for the Chicago winters.

u have to get winter tires for Chicago winters -- not all-season -- but winter tires. it's way to dangerous to drive w/o them.

Yeah, I've got a few months to pick the new wheels that I want. I'm gonna put the new wheels on the F1's and put the stock wheels on the winter tires. I'm leaning towards something balck with a polished chrome lip. It's a sinsiter look. But then again, there are some sweet looking HRE silver wheels out there as well. A fun problem to ponder for a few months.
