Our city is very famous about its greasy roads because of density of trucks , disel vans, and double deck buses. Today, I was driving to work and there were pours of rains. Even I was driving slow in the jam , whenever I pushed the fuel pedal a little harder, the ESP light kept flashing!
There is no kidding man, after the reset, we really have to learn how to safely drive a AMG again.

Is this ECU reset more noticable in AMG models?...because I swear after I reset mine, I can't feel any difference at all. Maybe my butt is too thick to feel anything......

Also, if your driving style is normaly very aggressive, you won't notice as much of a difference from this reset than someone who normally drives very mildly. I noticed a slight difference...not as dramatic as a lot of people here.

Agreed. Since my prior post, my habit of doing the reset often when parking and then driving the car hours later has still worked well. It doesn't seem to get too sluggish from the warmup portion of my drive. However, the problem I have is that traffic on my drive requires a "Jeckyl and Hyde" style of driving - polite most of the time, then lay into it when the opportunity arises. I wish we could just defeat the system by way of a "sport mode" switch.

I also found that for C55, Transmission 'C' mode is the best to test the throttle and gear change responsivenesses.

I am going to try this weekend since I drive this car weekends only. However, after reading all the posts, it seems it is better to warm up the engine before doing this.

Ok.. i tried this a few times and nothing.. then I realized I wasn't turning the key far enough.. Before this my SC would come on like 50% of the time when I floored it.. realy annoying.. Just tried and now every time I hit the gas the SC kicks in.. I was pretty happy!

Let me say that when I tried this, I took delivery of the car, drove home (car was nicely warmed up), did the reset and set out for a hoon.
OMG is all I have to say.

Guys, this DOES NOT reset your ECU. It resets your throttle sensor (or something of the sorts). My tech had a grand old time when I asked him if this was legit.

It is wiping the board clean, to the original factory settings. The transmission settings seem to be cleared at the same time. It tends smooth out my tranny jerk for a few days. My tech loved this trick.
