I'm trying to figure out if there is any rhyme or reason to whether a C32 has "kompressor" badges on the front fenders, and whether a C32 has a signed AMG builder placque. I've got neither and I have a 2002.

stock 02 C32: no engine plaque, no flat square surface on the supercharger, yes V6 kompressor badge on the front fenders, carbon fiber wannabe b-pillars.
stock 03,04 C32: signed engine plaque, V6 kompressor badge, black b-pillars.
if you have an 02 C32 and there's a flat square surface on your s/c, that means it has been replaced.

I have the spot for the plaque on my 02.. I did assume that the SC was replaced.. (One less thing to worry about!)
Is there a way to find out who built my engine and try to get one of those plaques? Anyone?
The cars with the Kompressor badge on the front fenders means it has a supercharger. The C55's don't have this badge because they are natrually aspirated.. If you have a C32 without them they were probably removed..

If it's that important to you, make one. Wouldn't cost that much.

Ha.. yeah just don't tell anyone it was your autograph when it's time to sell your car. 1/4" stainless steel plate and laser etching wouldn't cost more than $60

Side note, my car came used with just "kompressor" on the 1/4 panels, no V6.

The C32 always had the V6 kompressor badge unless owners decide to take them off.
I'm comtemplating with taking off the V6 off the side and leave only the kompressor badge just to mess with people's head since I have nother indication from outside that mine's a C32. LOL
as far as the fake CF pillar goes...the only reason they stopped it was to save cost, so that instead of making two trim they only need the cheap plain one.
