will the throttlebody fron a v8 kompressor fit on the v6 and is it any bigger? or is anyone making or porting one for the 3.2?

With some (or a lot) of custom fabrication it's possible. You should skip the V8 Kompressor and just go for the V12. V8 is 74mm vs V12 which is 80mm.

Check out this topic in the E55 section. That should give you an idea of how it could turn out. Awesome idea, alot of work too.

wow good thread, Is the 12 cylinde throttle body the same as the AMG one that was used? I may have to post in that thread to find out. the only concern i have is the wiring i have a machine shop that can do just about anything i.e. mating the supercharger inlet to the throttlebody. .

Has anyone measured the vacuum/pressure difference across the throttle plate on a Stage2 C32, when running on a dyno?

It would seem, that if the C32 was optimized for stock pulley/headers/intake, there might be some performance left on table in the throttle body for a stage2 C32. AMG left HP on the table with the E55.

What is the size of the stock C32 throttle body plate. We probably only need about 30% more flow? It will take some machining though, to make something, fit in that location?

Wiring should be a snap.

I would think the stock E55K throttle body plate would be big enough for the stage 2 C32. It will take some machining though, to make something, fit in that location?

I was thinking of modifying the throttle body as well. I actually considered using VRUS' 80mm throttle body for the E55K. I'm sure you could get it to fit on the C32K, but I think a +6mm increase in throttle body opening from the stock 74mm wouldn't be worth it on the C32. Vadim did some measurements on the pressure difference in the throttle body. Don't remember the numbers.

I think it would be more worthwhile to profile the throttle body, but I'm scared to grind the butterfly plate without understanding airflow fluid dynamics. It would probably make the air flow smoother and faster by reducing turbulence.

C32 shares the TB with E55. At 74 mm it is just about right. Several years ago I did measure pressure delta before and after TB on a Stage II car and was very small.

Boring it out to 76 mm might only be worth a couple of HP.

After Stage II, heads and cams is where major power gains lie.

I'm willing to do heads and cams, but I want to see the results from someone else first. I did all the pig work on the cats, and that was a $2000+ experiment. I don't want to port my head, realize I lost power, then have to buy another.

Hi Vadim, I have EvoSport Full Stage II, and I was wondering who makes heads and cams for C32?

I would be willing to experiment and dyno before and after.

At this time, to my knowledge, no one has done heads and cams.

My conclusion on next level stems simply from testing airflow on E55 heads (same as C32, only 6 vs. 8), and measuring specs on stock C32 cams.

At this time all I can offer is an estimate based on years of tuning cars and software engine simulations.

So the C32K engine is basically a E55K, with two less cylinders or 3/4 of an E55K engine? The 3.2L C32 must have a smaller stroke or piston bore, since 1.25x3.2=4.27L. The E55K is around 5.4L, so each cylinder displacement must be around 27% bigger.

I watched someone put the 80mm throttle body on the E55K, which means removing the compressor and it did look very similar to a C32.

Has anyone ported the E55K engine heads?

Hermann I have a few additional questions:-

1.* What is the optimised air intake. Please tell me more.
"Optimized throttle valve."

2. Is the pulley a crankshft pulley?* If so- is it dampened like the stock
pulley?
"Yes and it's dampened like the standard."

3.* please verify redline as 6400.* (stock is 6200).
"Yes it's 6.400 rpm"

Are there any additional HP gains with exhaust or headers?

"Headers S/S and metal catalytic converters are included in the kit.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us for further questions."

Best regards

Hermann

wonder if we can get cams

from mkb....maybe if we got a small group buy together? and....they did not provide much info on the "optimised throttle valve" .....

i'm going stg 2 in a week or so + full sl55 intake and a supersprint exhaust. cams and porting next step. if not too much $$$.

I'm interested in a group buy for camshafts and optimized throttle valve if it ever happens, please contact me...

So is there any rough estimate on how much horsepower gain resulting ONLY from camshafts install ????

My car is at EvoSport for FULL Stage II upgrade, and according to threads above, after Stage II, the horsepower gains I can get is by changing heads and camshafts...

Does anybody know if Kleemann produces camshafts for C32 AMG ???

Shrick makes set of cams for C32. Custom one piece valve have been done before.

Talk to Simon, he will be able to get you pricing on getting heads ported and cams installed.

I would not be surprised if we will see around 390-400 HP at the wheels.

Simon will only do the head work if you take the car to evosport. Unfortunately that isn't an option for me
