Quaife LSD

For those who are tired of the little orange triangle on their Mercedes AMG lighting up like a christmas tree everytime throttle is applied and are interested in a limited slip differential, I have negotiated a price with Vivid Racing for the Quaife units. Normally they retail for $1795, and Vivid is willing to sell them to us for $1580 "out the door" (i.e. free domestic shipping).

So if you're interested call Michael at Vivid Racing (480 966-3040 ext 226) to place your order.

2002 C32 AMG K
Too late! I just got mine installed by GMP, Inc. in Charlotte. I paid them $1,795.00 for the unit plus $500.00 to install. I had to buy new axles as my car had axles that wouldn't work. Appearently 2002 C32s were manufactured using two different types. That added another $400.00 . The car, however, is transformed; from a standing start, apply WOT, one second of chirping tires, hang on!!

I had a Quaife put in my old car (fwd) and it made a huge difference. I think I will get one down the road after some major mods for the c32 but that sucks about needing axles for 2002's.

I had two Quaifes in my old car, and yeah, they rock.

I only know of mild mods for the C32, what major mods are there?

Does anyone know if someone is willing and competent to install the Quaife in the San Francisco Bay Area?

$1580 shipped? That's a good price. Thanks for the info. I need an LSD badly.

i don't know ... but ...

A tuner in CA that's done them on E55's says 8-10 hours ... half shafts, suspension, what ever ... I'm doing it myself ...

I believe there's a thread w/ photos ... get your search groove on!

I think I'll get one soon. I'd do it myself as well, just wondering how much of a pita it would be.

There's an entire thread on this. The install is huge. I'm not willing to let anyone try it that hasn't already done the conversion.

Now, if a vendor would realize that there's a demand for these, and offer a rear end core exchange, I'd buy one *right now*, but I don't see that happening.

Is there any way you can pull up that thread for me on the installation process?
