Finally Got A C32

I BEEN SEARCHING 4 A LONG TIME AND FINALLY SETTLED FOR A USED 02 C32 WITH NAV,TIMEPORT, AND IT SAYS BRABUS ON THE SIDE SKIRTS WITH A REAR SPOILER ON THE TRUNK. THE CAR HAS IT ALL I THINK. MY INITIAL THOUGHTS ARE ITS A HELL OF A LOOKER WAS A LITTLE DISSAPPOINTED WHEN I FLOORED IT. BUT THEN AGAIN HAD THE AC ON. I CAME FROM A NEW IS350 AND TECH WISE THE C32 DOESN'T TOUCH IT. BUT PERFORMANCE WISE IT SEEMS FASTER.........NOT POSITIVE. I DEFINITELY LIKE THE STYLING CUES. I LOVE THE FACTORY RIM OFFSET FROM REAR RIMS. I AM PLEASED WITH THE AMG TOUCHES. I AM A MERCEDES MAN NOW SO GONNA REPRESENT THE C32 TO THE FULLLEST. IT DID COME WITH 3 YEAR MERCEDES EXT/WARRANTY OUT THE DOOR WAS LIKE 33215.03 THE CAR HAS 44300K MILES. THE SUSPENSION STILL FEELS TIGHT AND I CAN TO AN EXTENT GET THE NEW CAR SMELL. INCASE ANYONE ASK I SOLD THE IS350 CAUSE I GOT A STROKE BACK IN DEC 05 IF NOT WOULD STILL OWN IT TODAY.

Well done. I came from the Lexus side as well. I had an IS300 that I was going to throw a turbo kit on but the price was just stupid (10k+ tuned) and I test drove the IS350 and as far as power goes it felt alot faster (306hp vs. 215hp). Then I test drove the C32, needless to say I didn't go with the IS350.

Go to the meet in Schaumburg!

However...there was a used C55 in the Chicago Area with 19000 miles that was going for 39K. No extended warranty but it still had factory. This is of course according to Autotrader.

i didnt feel a huge differerence in power between the C32 and the IS350. But I did say not like I tried. Dude I just got the car saturday and really not tried much I had the IS350 for 4 months and really got to feel the car. This is my first impression pretty sure the car will feel better to me in no time. Let me assess it better. Now yeah there is a huge difference between the is300 and is350 but i am not comparing those two.

Congrats. Reading your signature I was wondering, other than 4 doors vs 2 doors usual usual grounds, may I ask what made you decide to get a C32 instead of an M3?

the main reason is i have an inside guy who can make owning the c32 way less expensive than owning an m3 that mostly why. dealers out here want a premium for a used m3. also i need auto since i am missing my right arm.

Your car looks nice.. First thing I would do is remove the Brabus badge on the skirts.. I don't see anything Brabus on your car and the side skirts is not a good place for a badge.. IMO

I would also swap out the replica AMG pedals and get the factory aluminum sport pedals from a newer sport model. They are like 60-70 bucks from the dealer.

I would also put some sport springs on to lower the car a bit..

FYI, if you think the power is lacking I would do some research on the ECU reset and see if that helps..

Your C32 should be faster than the IS350 unless something is wrong with your car..

Oh, I know, I was just saying that I wasn't all that impressed by the IS350 when I drove it or at least not enough to drop $40k+ on it. Welcome aboard and enjoy.

congrats to your new car, but sorry to hear about ur stroke. Still don't know how that affect you end up selling the IS350 tho.

btw, do the ECU reset on your car. It'll clear up the drive pattern of the previous owner.

I DIDNT TAKE IT IN A WRONG WAY..............I JUST GOT THE CAR AND NO MATTER WHAT I WILL HAVE THIS CAR FOR A LONG TIME. I FELT THAT WAY ALSO WAS PLANNING TO GET ANOTHER NEW ONE BUT DONT THINK ITS WORTH 40K PLUS EITHER AND DID RESEARCH ON THIS CAR AND I FELT IT WILL DO THE JOB FOR LESS USED.

1. put the key in turn to the start position (do not start the car)
2. press down on the gas pedal for 5 sec
3. turn the key to off position (do no pull out the key) and release the gas pedal
4. wait for couple mins before restarting the car.
