Talking Brabus Exhaust Installed on C55

That's right- a brabus exhaust. not made for the c55, but rather for a W220 S-Class. The mufflers were a perfect fit, the tips had to be shortened, but overall it was an easy mod. The sound is deeper on acceleration, but no different at cruising speeds. it looks amazing. I am very happy.

If anyone wants the stock AMG C55 exhaust it is for sale. PM me if interested.

Wow, that looks pretty sweet. I guess when you shortened the tips, you had to do it where they meet the muffler and not on the ends. Sounds like a pain in the butt, but well worth the effort .

I was gonna do the conversion and I already have the C55 spare tire well part#. The thing that holds me back is the muffler set, because either I have to find a pair of C32 tips for the passenger side, or 2-pairs of C55 tips+muffler and that cost a lot to buy new.
Installing C32 tips on the driver's side and C55 tips on the other side wouldn't do since they are different.
AMGMARK what other parts would I need that I wouldn't be able to get from a muffler shop ?

I bought both mufflers from another forum member. This is probably the best way to go rather than just getting the tips. You won't be able to use the original C32 muffler with the new spare well. It centers the spare which means you need a smaller drivers side muffler.

You will also need the heat shields and the passenger side muffler hanger.. I can get you the part numbers if you need them.. You might want to shoot carnut a pm and see what he's asking for the mufflers.. Feel free to PM me if you have more questions..

Why do we need to get OEM heat shields ? Can't we get those from a mufler shop?

You don't need the heat shields.. I was just going to have my muffler guy fab something, but then decided to make it look factory.. It was only $200 for both heat sheilds and I was looking at about $80-100 to have something made.
