Is there any way to change the little orange bulbs in my mirrors?

I think No

Pretty sure this was researched and everyone struck out.
I suggest you search the forums though.

I was thinking about heating it up with a heat gun, and seeing if that would free the cover off. But then I realized I own a mercedes. I just wonder how my dealer would open it if one of the bulbs were faulty.

Leds no replacement

You have to remove the mirror then undo the clip in the back inside of the clear lens. to remove mirror pull back and place a wedge to hold it open then undo screws. good luck. BTW nobody here has tried it yet. from what i read.

I'm wondering if the mirror signal uses the orange LED lights?

I'm interested too. Not to change the amber lights, but so I can get the clear cover painted with my body color. Since my pre-painted lense on my front bumper still glow amber at night, the same thing done to the mirrors will make it look like one piece, then flash orange when signals are on. Should make a sportier look.

Frank,

Why do you include your mom, dad, brother, and sister's cars as part of your signature? Obviously your parents have money, how else could a 19 year-old college student afford a $60,000 car. Is it to impress us? Is it to make you feel better about yourself? All of your posts are great but those of us who work hard for a living to be able to afford the cars we drive don't really want to hear about the "little spoiled rich kid's" and their toys. Maybe you aren't spoiled (your posts don't give the impression that you are), however, it does make your look a bit pretentious. Maybe you should leave out all the junk at the end of your posts and put that info in your profile? Just some "fatherly" advice from someone who grew up poor.

i don't think that what I put on my signature has anything to do with anyone in the forum. It is just a statement that my family has these cars, not to show off or anything. Whether or not people would feel that i'm being pretentious, it is up to them, not up to me. People can feel whatever they feel, but i'm still going to be me. Fyi, i never once said i paid for my car. I put my mom, dad, bro, or sis name behind their car, so that people won't think i own all those car. I'm here on this message board because my love for the cars, not just my own, but others as well. If people think i'm a "spoiled rich kid" that is there business. I here on this board to recieve informations on the cars, give out opinions about what i know about cars, and as well as accepting opinions that are directed to myself. So, with that said, your comment is accepted, but not going to affect what i put on my signature, sorry.

btw your comments on "how else could a 19 year old college student afford a $60,000 car" might be offensive to many others because I know there are many others, who are 19 or 20, that pay for their own car, and i admire that.

This is the reason why I don't list my family's cars, just what I own (besides I have the "Cheap" car ) . It's just playing it safe and leaves less for haters to comment on. I guess to be more appropriate, you could just list the Benzes in your household since this is a Benz forum. I kinda see where misu55 is coming from, but disagree with the whole "spoiled rich kid" attack. Besides, "fatherly advice" should come from your own father and I guess his advice wouldn't apply anyway since he grew up poor and you didn't . I guess it's just best to be subtle. For example, you don't have to mention what kind of car you have if it is already in your sig.

it's just a habit. I often mention the car again because I thought most people would not bother to read the sig. What's more important, the topic on hand or the sig?
