I had this happen on my old C240. Try "resetting" the window. By that, I mean hold the power window button "up" for a good 20-30 seconds. After that, let go and try it.

It worked for me.

If it doesn't work, take it to the dealer to get fixed.

My driverside(front) power window stopped working at about 28k miles, was fixed under warranty.

"Found internal malfunction of LF door control module .... replaced door control module and version coded rechecked, Now found proper operation)."

Part # 203-820-15-85 Control Unit.

Also checked the switch and relay, which were both fine.

did you take the power from the battery to reset your window?

I don't know how long it took to change or how much the window module cost. It was replaced under warranty, No Charge.

If you want to work on your car, the alldata yearly subscription is the easiest
way to get service manul documentation. It is $24.95/year. There is info
on the window, window regulator, window motor, switches and electronics.

http://www.alldatadiy.com/index.html

If the window is up, the hardest thing to do, is remove the door panel, since this is normally done with the window, down. I don't know how they got it off, with the window up. Maybe they tilted it up and disconected the window regulator cable?

The website http://mbklasse.com/ probably has the most info
on DIY and door panel removal.

The most likey cause of malfunction are:

Fuse
Switch
Motor

My car had a failed motor, so your may have the same problem. The motors
are specific to specific chassis, so you may need the numbers off your motor to get a new one.
