60k for a 2006 C55 seems reasonable if you are getting all options and it includes tax + license.

The C55 has been discontinued in North America for 2007. Here is the response from the AMG Private Lounge:

"The C55 AMG has been produced for the United States market for Model Years
2005 and 2006.

Most U.S. AMG models' lifecycles are 2-3 years as with the C55 AMG. The
C55 AMG will not be offered for Model Year 2007 although it will continue in other world markets.

Often, new safety and other regulations mandate vehicle modifications, which in the case of the U.S. version C55 AMG would have required significant product changes to continue for 2007. Please continue to visit the AMG Private Lounge periodically for the latest information on a potential AMG C-Class successor model."

2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
Invoice is about 57,600. Take 3 to 5% from that, and make him an offer. Tell him next week the price goes down because it is already a year old car, and depreciation will drive the value of the car below cost if he sits on it.

I never said that's what I paid. BUT in 2000, with every available option, that was the sticker.

We paid $54K for a 06 pewter silver/blk leather C55 on 9/2 that was fully loaded {(319 lighting), (530 navigation), (536 sirius), and (326 premium)}. The sticker was $61330. In the SF bay area, most dealers are willing to deal. The dealer has a 3 other units on the lot (Black, Silver, and Red).

Maidu- was it $54k pre or post-tax?

Either way, nice haggle.

I paid 64k post-tax, that was a year ago. 54k sounds like a good deal.

That was $54Kpre tax. Checkout Autobahn Merecedes in Belmont, Ca (650-631-0900). This is what they have in new C55s. The sales guy I dealt with was Andy Liang.

Cut out this post, take it to the sales manager at your dealer and say "Here's my quote, where's my Mercedes?"

05 c55
I got my 05 C55 in Feb 05 for 54K (cap cost of vehicle) with premium, lighting, and navigation. It took a lot of negotiation, but if you have the time and energy its worth it. I found that going online to one of those sites where you put in your info and what car you want is the best way to go. Within minutes I got called by a few local dealers with c55s and basically made them outbid each other. I'm pretty sure the internet managers or fleet managers who called just care about volume, not so much about gross profit. Hope this helps.

I picked up my 2005 C55 in January of 2006 for $48,000 fully loaded, certified, MB warranty to 2009 from a dealer with 12,000 miles on it (only defect, a small rock scratch on the hood). I still think I got a very good deal considering that the dealer took my severly repaired 99 C43 with 115,000 miles for a nice trade in to off-set the $48k price.

so whats the point in chiming in with what the sticker price of your 320 was? the thread was about what C55's are going for. not what the sticker reads.
