#30 out of 92 very fast cars!

Hat's off to ASP and Renntech ECU, helped me achieve an impressive 111mph trap speed and put down some respectable numbers, enough to get some attention from most of the other competitors.

Can't wait for next year! Click on the cars to see detail, then click the link on left side to see back of card for event detail. I am #30 on page 4.

No doubt!haha That trap speed is pathetic as well. 16th traps around 85mph and back around 40th in an '05 C6 @ close to 118mph. Must have been one hell of a driver in that civic.

Apparently this competition was not just a drag race. Your car had to handle as well. That's why that stock engined Civic took 16th place. My beater supercharged CRX would have come in the top 5 without even trying.

There were several events that you gained points in:

Trap Speed Time
60' Time
Autocross Time
Long Slolam
Skidpad (which is a huge 360, see how fast you can get around it 3x, both directions)

You gained points according to how you stacked up in each event. So where slower cars with better handling got decimated by high powered cars in the drag / 0-60mph timing (I was able to achieve 4.878sec to 60mph), they made up ground on the skidpad and autocross.

Everyone there was pretty good drivers, some were elite (scca class/national winners in their region)

I gained some good points with trap speed and 60', and lost some on the skidpad and slolam (there were about 100ft spacings between cones, which allowed me to get near 90mph through it, which put me spinning off the track on one of the runs, double figure 8's right off the runway....talk about a clinching moment).

I think that the skid pad must have been quite dirty. I thought some of those cars would have fared much higher in lateral grip.

Huge congrats to you.

The skidpad was on 2 types of surface which really was tricky, it was 50% on a blacktop and 50% on airport concreate, felt slippery on the blacktop then tons of grip on the concreate.

If you take a look through the gallary some of the cars there were sick... I was suprised the 1067RWHP dyno proven supra didnt do as well.

One factor that really hampered everyone, no slicks, everyone had to use standard street tires, which really jacked up some of the drivers, cause their hard core autocrossing DOT tire folks...

They are planning to have this event next year right outside of Indy, looking to expand it to 120 vs. 120 Import vs Domestic. This is a PURE donation event, all the money goes to a childrens hospital, which is great.

Some of the folks posting on their boards have mentioned this may get national coverage next year due to the success of this years event, possibly even ESPN II.

Hopefully they will be able to get the entree's for next years event.
