H&R Coilover question..

Guys,

I came across a used set of H&R coilover set from a C Coupe in the classified section. Will it fit my 02 C32? The guy is local and wants $490 for them. He says they were on his car for two years and are in great condition. If they fit, anything I should look for upon visual inspection. Thanks for any feedback. I am going to call Evosport tomorrow see if they know since they carry them.

ask them how many miles are on the coilovers and drive the car. if they were on the car a full 2 yrs, maybe you should get it a little cheaper. ive had 2 sets of h&r coilovers that went soft rather quickly. id imagine 2 yrs would make them soft on a c coupe as well.

actually, i think h&r only makes 1 set of coilovers for all W203's. that means the C-coupe all the way to the C32 and the C55 would all use the same coilovers.

this was true as of last yr. perhaps h&r came out with something new since then though

there you go. Someone did their homework. The coilovers for C32 is different to accommodate AMG swaybar.

If that is the only difference then a drill would quickly take care of that problem

difference is only in few holes that needed to make it slightly larger on the C32. spring rate and adjustability I do not think they're any different.

That is correct, I spoke with the author of this thread about the suspension this morning. Just to clarify so there's no doubt's among anyone, the suspension does NOT fit. As mentioned above there's 3 different part numbers that correlate to 3 different kits. We usually stock most of the common mercedes coilover kits and if we don't have your application in stock for some reason we can usually have the suspension within a week at tops. If anyone is interested in an H&R coilover kit or has any questions please feel free to pm or contact me directly, thanks

Thanks everyone,

I'm glad I didn't get these, The seller insisted that they fit a C32. I guess I have to save up for a new set. It seems it is the safest way to go. What brand do you guys recommend? What about just going with Springs? My main objective is a lowered stance and a firmer ride.
