335 rapes C55 oh brother
That's what AMG needs to do if they want to steal M3 / S4 customers. The AMG automatics are as good as a traditional automatic gets, but they are zero involvement and no fun. I find the "manual mode" on the C32 to be way to sluggish, and it gets overruled by the computer on upshifts and downshifts.
I almost never use it on the street. On the track, I use it to force downshifts prior to a turn; but then I let it automatically upshift at the redline. (As a comparison, I had the Audi "tiptronic" on my last car, and I used it all the time.)
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
But I think clutches are fun.
Screw DSG, get AMG to do some custom orders with a true manual! Actually, just read that Chrysler is comming out with a double clutch tranny...and with all the part sharing that might translate over to the Benzes.

I was tempted to pick up a A3 3.2 S-line, but they cut too many corners.... the motor isn't as light as they lead you to believe for one and it's not quattro. But I will say the DSG is flipping awesome in terms of performance...... go test drive a new GTI with DSG and see for yourselves.

I still drive a stick once a week (Audi TT), and while it's much more fun than an auto, it's still a chore in traffic.
Cool man, we were just there at the Formula D..
I would post here more but this site lags..whats up with the server..
Has there been talk of MB getting a DSG? I'm getting really tired of the grandpa sport shift crap...
