Are you talking to me? Cause I am the only one taking you serious. Please, just ignore the others. They are just trolls.

It actually becomes deeper and a bit louder. Makes your 4 banger sound very similar to the eight of the 55. Personally, I would buy a 220 AMG over a 55 any day. The 220 AMG is more rare and gets better gas mileage. Plus, if you do the wiper mod it gets you better down force too. You know what that means, harder cornering in the twisties.

Speaking of resonator deletes... I got a recommendation from the forum on where to go. I called and asked.. they said they would call me back. They did, a few days later. Price for just the resonator to be removed with stainless steel pipe, $270ish. I said forum guys got it a ton cheaper, he dropped his price to $150 immediately.

Anyone else have a good recommendation in Bergen County NJ?

$150 with the shop's pipe in Bergen County is not that bad. $85 with your pipe would be better. Which shop did you call?

I was gonna cry foul on that price, but stainless piping is bank. $150 is pretty fair, only slightly high because it is so damn simple to do. I was contemplating stainless true dual exhaust with x pipe (keeping primaries and AMG mufflers) - wonder how much $ that would be...

The initial high price, followed by being told it was a "difficult job, thats really involved" kind of turned me off.

Stainless did burn through two of my exhaust guys saw blades when I did the secondaries. That was really double the work/piping and I paid $100 - I didn't use stainless tho :/

my resonator and two secondary cat replacement pipes are all an aluminum alloy. Certainly not as nice as the stainless that makes up the rest of the system, but I've had no issues at all. A competent welder and the proper sleeving technique and you will be just fine and save a bunch of bourbon money.

Here's the breakdown of my exhaust mod timeline on my CLK M113;
deleted muffler- good sound
deleted resonator 2 months later- sounded like a beast -def get noticed.
deleted secondary cats 6 months later- HOLY Sh%t -Sounds insane!
(for anyone that says there's no difference in sound when you remove the secondary cats has obviously never removed the cats!)-THERE IS A DIFFERENCE- PERIOD
Pipe setup:stock manifold to stock cats to 2.5" downpipe to y pipe to single 3" straight pipe

Also gained 1mpg after removing second cats.

I have video but I recorded it on my cell phone and its sounds like crap. But let me tell you, the sound is flipping incredible, people are amazed that a Benz can sound like that.
I do love agressive sound- BUT IT MIGHT BE TOO LOUD FOR SOME
